@Queueue690 if most of EN goes under, I'm completely out. EN is the only branch I fully can connect with (IDs English is decent so I relate with them somewhat). Love JP too but the language barrier is a challenge at times (though alot of banger songs).

I'm surprised to see the negative reaction some have had towards the finale, maybe cause it struck such an emotional chord with me that I didn't mind the rushed bits (which yes, I will definitely recognize they rushed in some areas). Suletta and Miorine are cinnamon rolls and I'm glad they got their happy ending.

Still confused on where this is in the UC timeline. Cause in first episode zeon is suprised the feds now have mobile suits sugessting the EFF JUST started making gms and stuff. But the gundam ex here seems way more advanced than the RX so it had to have been made after amuro lost the RX
A lot of UC side stuff is guilty of adding suits that are way stronger than they should be for the time period, it started around 0083. The real head scratcher is the revelation that the EFF was grabbing Newtype soldiers in a time where they barely had a clue what the fuck that was.

If that dialogue doesn't make sense, that's the point. Also, how could the EFF draft a newtype child soldier to pilot the Gundam if the EFF had only the most vague dea of what newtypes are? Amuro Ray was their first real instance and they just got lucky and he fell into their laps. The EFF didn't really know to even look for Newtypes until the very end and after the war.
EFF misunderstood and misinterpreted that any ace pilots = 100% newtype

It makes sense that the Gundam pilot's story isn't explored in the series since it is told through Zeon PoV, so they wouldn't know. But I do hope it gets covered in some side material on how the kid got assigned to the Gundam though, outside of the usual child Gundam pilot trope.
