Just looked them up…… ouch price is unjustifiable. I could go buy a 37ton splitter for &1000 cheaper.

super fast setup ... saw a guy chop his regular trailer wood splitter and weld on a quick hitch to run as an attachment, but wasn't near as fast as this. the self made splitter gave a micro excavator the hydraulic power it needed to actually push enough to split because the regular hydraulic thumb doesn't have enough back pressure to hold against the bucket pressure during a pinch.

I think this is awesome. I'm going to build one.

I bought one of these a few years ago for my bobcat mini excavator. I use it to split a minimum of 14 cords of large diameter hardwood a year and i love it. I havent started my hydraulic log splitter since ive owned it.

What horsepower machine is required? I have a Kubota B21, it may be too small?

Looks like a "regular" log splitter would be MUCH better in every way except for the piling ability. In truth it seems to pretty much sucks at that as well.

Nice attachment for processing giant rounds if ripping with the saw gets old. Also nice is the log can be dirty and u can still break it down with this machine instead of messing up your chain ripping.

Big rounds have always been a pain for me move and to split. This sure makes it easy. I'd still keep my regular splitter for the smaller easy to handle stuff. No need for a 40hp diesel to run all day splitting the same stuff my 6hp would do

How long of pieces can you split with that?

How does this splitter do on large twisted maple knuckles?

I could see splitting big stuff into quarters so you can lift it like a gentleman but to waste your time making it into a finished product is pure lazy and unnecessary.

I would love to see a video of someone splitting 24” long blocks. I am very interested in one but every video shows 12” blocks.
