    Tyreke Evans winning rookie of the year over Steph still bothers me to this day. Evans averaged 20.1 pts per game but Steph averaged 18 pts per game playing less minutes and averaged more assists and steals. Steph was coming off the bench!

      @@AthleteTV_ Hey remember when kobe, Lebron, and Wade traveled so much they had to change the travel rule in 2009 to allow an extra step. The NBA released a statement going into detail on why they couldn't call Harden moves a travel according to the 2009 rule change. People tend to skip this part.

    • @JamesHardenoverKobe13
      @JamesHardenoverKobe13 Месяц назад

      Its not a travel. The ball is still in motion when he starts his stepback. Thats why you only count the last two. The feet is to trick you while the secret is in the ball. Also the reason why he is a good passer. Even the NBA released an official statement going into detail on why they couldn't call Harden moves a travel according to the 2009 travel rule change. Which happened after the 00s players (kobe and wade) were traveling all the time. People want to skip this part.

    The Knicks weren't left _wondering_ if they were playing against a superhuman.. they and everyone else in the league was well aware of it. Also maybe worth a mention: Larry Bird's 30-point, 12-rebound, 10-assist and 9 steal masterpiece... all done in three quarters and 33 minutes of play. ..also Elgin Baylor's 61 playoff points doesn't still stand.. MJ broke it against the Celtics in 1986 when he scored 63 against the best-rated defensive team in the league. Larry Bird famously called him "God disguised as Michael Jordan".. you can watch the full game on YT.

    Wilt Chamberlain is laughing from above...😂

  • @justinlaw9336
    @justinlaw9336 3 месяца назад

    Wilt is on top of the mountain with his 100 pt game. But he also had games with 78 points, 73 (twice) 72 points, and 70 points. Only 10 players have ever scored 60 or more points on more than one occasion. Wilt is #1 with (32x) Kobe is #2 with (6 x) Dame (5x) Jordan (4x)...Only 10 guys have ever scored 70 in a game. Only 36 guys have scored 60 with HOF all time greats like Bird and Curry managing to do it only 2x. It just goes to show how difficult it really is. I do think the modern NBA is set up currently these days in such a way, that its now easier to drop 60 than it ever has been before. It's just not as physical, and defensive guys in the past could get away with a lot of hand checks, body fouls, and a good wrist or elbow hack here and there when contesting a shot. I think true all time greats and legends of the game can transcend generations and eras. Those kidna players that are like top 10 all time could play at anytime and still be great imo. With that being said, I just think now, in the modern NBA I see SOME PLAYERS, go for 60, that I don't think would be have done so if they were playing in the more defensively geared NBA of the recent past. I might be wrong, but that's just the way I see it.

      @Mik-xq2co 3 месяца назад

      It’s too bad blocks and steals were not official stats logged during Wilt’s time. He would have averaged a triple double (points, rebounds and blocks) for his career. These stats would have put him just the much further ahead than anyone else stats-wise!
