Hi buddy I’m not sure had the van years ago, I would test to see if your getting power to the button and then you’ll know if it’s the supply or switch and mech that’s faulty 👌

And still going strong? 👌 I think I might need a new turbo in the near future it’s abit Smokey on boost

@@bestysbits2071 just spoke to guy at pace vw connections truro he said have to raise van front then support engine ready to loose engine mount and grease tension mount and tensioner arm like u did also looking from underneath engine mount bracket and on my spare engine can see bolt underneath bracket have to undo.well here goes 😀

@@bestysbits2071 I’ve had a go I lowered engine off engine Mount but it won’t go lower as driveshaft rests on suspension arm I could just see lower mount bolt but thought be tricky to do anything else so gave up

I used RH tunning initially and my van ran like crap so took it down to engine tuners on valley road and it’s ran well every since

@@bestysbits2071 Thanks I'll check them out. Van's been re-mapped before but that was 18 years ago! Needs a tweak I reckon.

Hi Andy I think I bought it off eBay a few years ago how’s the conversion going?

Just getting all the bits together. The van (a camper) is in Portugal. Will have to ship the bits down at some point. We will be going over end of this month so I can get measurements for intercooler hoses. Thanks for getting back to me. I did manage to get those bits. 👍

No they worked well previous owner had painted them blue over the red looked awful

Hey buddy it’s a 1.9, currently having gearbox issues 🤦‍♂️ could be a busy weekend ahead for me 😂

@@bestysbits2071 Gearbox's are crap in these (M32), i have the 1750 Tbi (cant stand diesels lol), got my gearbox rebuilt by a guy in Halifax, did it in under 2 hours, took the end case off through the wheel arch.

@bestysbits2071 hi i tried posting the link and kept disappearing. The site is pptuning they based in louth. I'm very pleased. Engine just breaths and revs right up freely. I would sort your turbo out my made a huge bang and set car alarms off when mine exploded, I was lucky nothing got sucked into the engine.

@Lion19722 I can't remember gear ratio but far better I was quite surprised at the diffrence not noticed any fuel comsuption changes just drives nicer, they say less top speed but i dont drive at top speed any way. I had the injectors changed made big difference and map done before the gear change, the manifold and exhaust the last thing I had done.

@@bestysbits2071 oh hey matey. I have a mk1 tt 225. The temp sits perfect at 90. But the aux water pump and fan should be running all the time I have been told Including when the car is switched off for 10 mins after. Only had the car 3 weeks. I'm hoping it's the green 30 amp fuse in top of the battery.

@@Bristol_boxing no the fans are not constantly running I think they kick in at 98c -104c you can view the engine temp on the climate control screen in the centre console RUclips it, watch then temp and see if they come on wen there meant too sounds like it’s running fine tho buddy

@@bestysbits2071 OK il go I to the menu tomoorow I believe it's 49c yes for the coolant temp myne sits around 80 82 when up to temp and sits perfect at 90 on the dash

Hi trev I fitted them about 3 years ago now struggling to remember 😂 I think the 5th injector needed extra wiring on because the Vw loom was a inch or two short and once I fitted the injectors it idled like crap I had to get it remapped and it’s ran really well ever since

Yeah, but that’s only because in Romania diesel is still king. Everywhere else the TBi is the most expensive one
