Yeah it was 100x easier considering the difference is resources 😂 really enjoyed that mini challenge tbf, and come to think of it, that challenge prepared me for this episode - i.e. doing fights in the most efficient way, and learning enemy A.I. particularly vs the spirit and great mal fights 👍🏻 kept ultima and omega separate too thus time, for extra content of course 😛

I can only apologise to you on behalf of the poor writing and story arcs and ending to this season 😅 have you watched s2 episode 8 yet? now I know what OG Final Fantasy fans feel about rebirth 😅 this better come back strong in 2 years time for S3.

Thanks for checking out the video! You're right, and a simiar point made during my live reaction - he's either got no more influence, is being ignored or isnt as involved as he was with S1, which is a shame, considering where GOT went once GRRM wasnt involved.

Rhaenyra needs more protection that is for sure, especially now Daemon is also housed in Harrenhall. The Greens know this too, so Im suprised there aren't more assassination attempts.

The rest are peices of work 🤣 but the rest are so damn interesting too, especially the direction they've taken armond now! Team black I suspect will ramp up now and will start recruiting dragonseeds. You are right about the atk, no one deserves that + its not aegons fault he is the first son and he has to be king! And yeah 100% aemond attacked argon with Dragon fire! @@jikGeek Oh i loved it, 10/10 we finally got the dragon battle that i'd hoped for in season 8 but never got cause could barely see a thing.

@@vargr2089 so glad! It was the absolute perfect episode for me. Unlike 1 and 3, they NAILED the ending in the one, it was unreal, the cgi is so realistic and the dragons were on point throughout. Fully agree this is what season 8 should of been like 100% 🥲 still makes me sad. Imagine this quality, during the day, or even just lit by moonlight, battle of winterfell would have been good at least 😅👌 Here is to hoping the 2nd half will be just as good. I have a feeling there will be some more storyline surprises and I hope we haven't seen the last of winterfell and the starks

Great to hear from you 👍🏻 thanks man, it has been a while since Yunalesca for sure - I debated how I wanted this awkward-ish episode to go, appreciate the support for the ongoing guide 👍🏻 Minor spoiler, you won't see Trio until the post-game, I.e. After BFA. Purposely avoiding using it, even though the only restriction is no sphere grid. The sin fights especially, it was so interesting understanding the AI and mechanics and made the battles WAY more fun + it'd make the next few fights too easy imo. However, for the Monster Arena, which will be like ep33 onwards think, Trio is all you'll see haha 😄 cant most of that without trio right?

@@jikGeek You can do quite a few Arena creations without Trio but most of them would be really long battles. Either Doom + survive or Dark Matter spam. Probably more fun with Trio tbh. (Although it makes me want to try as many creations as possible in NSGNSNCNO just for fun.)

@@BlitzAce469 you are right Blitz, you can. Just checked my pre-records, which is up to n incl. Ultima Buster, and yeah most trio usage is during species and the first 2 original fights. There are a few trio fights in area conquest, mostly for speed though more than anything, Cac King for instance. Doubt they'll be individual episodes, maybe the originals 🤔

You are right and this is an excellent point. On reflection it's got me thinking 🤔 about 3 key points; 1. Team green nor Archmaester Gyldayn knew that Rhaenyra wanted Aemond dead. 2. Perhaps Archmaester Gyldayn is protecting Alicent by writing that she was there, and not with Criston Cole, as it implicates both of them + the maesters are 'team green / team hightower' 3. Seeing as it is implied, at least in S1 of the show, that the masters are team green / team hightower, perhaps the incident was blown up by the maesters to implicate the Targaryens and Team Black. The only thing in the show, not above, that vastly goes against the book, is the lack of Maelor. Thanks again for your thoughts 👍🏻

Agree there were plenty of highs in HOTD S1, and some lows, im looking at ep 6 especially, but it reminded me of the old school GOT days, and brought back the seriousness, good character work, and decent story quality for sure!

Fully agree - it was way off the mark vs. the book and confused me, you are spot on - it was a typical PERFECT game of thrones scene, one that sets this show a part form the rest, or used to anyway. I get the impression it was 'too dark for normies' (who i gather is the main audience, with nods of lore etc to the book fans) and they shyed away from the original, deeming it too horrific, but thats their failure in my eyes. Just adapt the source material where we know it to be true, and fill in any gaps will good stuff.

Glad you think the same, and its not just me! Agree that it was still a sad scene, but they really should have just stuck to how it went in the books... it could have been a hell'a lot stronger!, particularly that quote you mention + the choice. Suprised GRRM signed off on it!?!

Yeah it doesnt look like Daeron is in Season 2 - perhaps in S3 or S4. Preety sure he hasnt even been mentioned or referenced to - seeing Daeron and Tessarion is gna be cool AF. His arch does ramp up from the middle part of the this story, so perhaps they are saving him for later, and can just reference that hes been in old town with the Maesters - perhaps bringing back the grand maester conspiracy plot, like what was hinted to in HOTD S1

And you're right... it is a great theory with a lot of merit and other ASOIAF content creators have broken this one down to perfection (InDeepGeek for instance). On reflection, it is more complex (at least in my eyes) than R+L=J and I think I wanted to focus on that theory more so, seeing as I know the more of the intricate details + im convinced R+L=J is true, which rules out all others.

@@jikGeek I understand the deductive reasoning within the video (support one, hard to support others). Order of the Green Hand has a great timeline video on N+A=J, with a real smoking gun coming from recent annotations on the ebook (audiobook) with George saying that Jon was born during the sack of kings landing and the tower of joy being almost a month from Kings landing. Along with many other reasons

Hey! Thanks for the comment! I'll check the list. There is 87 of them, and i managed to get through 24 in part 1 - thought i'd cover them all (and this was a 1 of stream), turns out ill need 3-4 parts. I promise to check the list and come back to you. In the mean time , I have heard of that theory and I LOVE IT. I'm sure this is something that '@Michael Talks About Stuff' did a video on - great video and makes some solid arguments. If i can add theories to the list im working from on tierlist maker, i will absolutely do so and include them on the stream 👍

​@@vargr2089as much as I love how impactful the idea of Jamie being the Valonqar is, I can't help but be bothered by the fact that it doesn't address why it specifically uses a Valyrian key term, which in itself is ambiguous to whether it's little brother or little sister. Would be such an out of place red herring.

Have been contemplating this for the last few days 🤔 the only explanation is that the theory of A+J = C + J. Cersei and Jamie are targs. That or Maggie the frog was a COTF, and similar to the wood witch (whom is also regarded as a COTF), who knew about prophecy + guided Rhaegar about the song of Ice and Fire (as well as other prophecy stuff).
