How to Remove Distortion in Sheet Metal after Welding
In this video I am working on a custom inner fender that I had to extend. Therefore I had to weld a piece on and as with any welding there is shrinkage and distortion. I go through removing this distortion and blending the weld to where it is a seamless repair. This can be used for any repair as long as you can get to the back side of your panel. I only use a hammer and a dolly.

Vevor Hydraulic Hole Punch review
Просмотров 26День назад
In this episode I review the Vevor 15 ton Hydraulic Hole Punch. This is an excellent for punch bigger holes in sheetmetal up to 14ga steel. The cost is very reasonable at $129.99 tax. I mainly bought this because I don't really like using hole saws. Every tool has a place and purpose so, hole saw are still needed for when you don't have the exact size for the hydraulic hole punch but from now o...

I appreciate the Canadian Grand Prix in the background...
I watch every race!
Same. Can’t forget the practice sessions, pre/post shows, and the tech chats!
Yep I try to catch as much as I can! Excited for three weekends in a row!!!
What he's doing doesn't make sense
When you weld the metal shrinks and distorts. To remove that distortion, you need to stretch out the weld. By stretching out the weld you remove the distortion. In this video I am only using a hammer and dolly.
George adding a working atmosphere! Nice
George?

Nice
Thanks!
Pff! I can do that by hand! Just give me a sharpie. Kidding, that's a good idea.
Flashback of doing Prowler stab bolts!
Rudder pedals were the worst!
The bearings of the machine don't sound healthy. Otherwise, a brilliant little machine
That's just what ball screws and linear rail trucks sound like. I always thought they sounded crunchy too, but it's normal. It's actually a bad sign if they DON'T sound like that.
Agreed. This machine has sounded the same way ever since I turned it on for the first time. Still works great! I do maintain it and keep it clean.
Bro I love it! Amazing video
Thanks!!
Dang... This video is better than mine😅. Thanks!
Thank you!
Certainly a solid kit for the price! Now go use that 3d printer and make some matching dimple dies! To include the oval!!
Good idea!
I'm no Mopar fan, but dang! That's nice!
For a Mopar it's sweet !!!!
BADD TO DA METAL ❤!!
Bedroll is when you get tucked into a sheet burrito
Just wow
It’s one of the sickest and most amazing cars I’ve ever seen. Masterpiece
What a waste of a roadrunner.
sweet!
Its ok.
Bada$$ !!
Is it also electric powered?
I believe not. It got a clutch padel and an exhaust. I would like to see how to change the wheels, it looks like a challenge.
no definitely not electric. It does have a lot of electrical options though.
Idk I just don’t like this mix of classic with modern touch screens
A lot of people don't. Me, I Love this car! the them they went with and concept, I think they Nailed it!
Mexican style😂
Very nice !!!
That back is sexy!
Heck yeah man that's awesome! My daughter is the same way, always wanting to build something or go fast. Nice job!
Thank you! I love teaching my kids, when they come out to the garage.
Let’s continue to educate our children ! we should be prideful of it as well just as this man is . I applaud you good sir teach her all you can she’ll need it in this life
Thank you! I agree! I love it when she and my son come out and work with me in the garage. Love teaching them the stuff I enjoy and giving them skills that they can use in life
THE ROIDRUNNER... Awesome car
For the tricky bends could you use tig welding rod as a template?
I did, but some of them still needed re worked. That was some of the footage I cut out
Great to see you again Jesse. Glad you're living your dream. Video quality looks good. Sound is all over the place. Work on that kid.
Thanks Dave! Was good talking with you this morning. I literally just bought the paid version of the editing software I’m using a couple days ago specifically for the audio. Just posted my first video with it last night so audio should be better from here on out.
Great to see you again Jesse. Glad you're living your dream. Video quality looks good. Sound is all over the place. Work on that kid.
Beautiful
I have always liked the 66 more, even though the 67 is more popular.
I like them both, been liking the 70 a lot lately too
Cudos
Thank you
Oh my God!!! I’m in love.
Thank you
They don’t make em like that no more
No they sure don’t, it’s sad!
OMG! She’s a beauty, but definitely loose those rims and tires for something more functional.
These wheels give me the look I want and are more than functional for this build
Neat machine!
Thanks! It will be when I finally get time to finish it!
JEEZ
Soyface for a soyhammer
Fine car right there
Thank you
@@HalfacreFabrications very welcome
The big chunk wagon wheels ruin it .
Where’s picture of yours?
@HalfacreFabrications I don't know how to post them ,I have won a couple of trophies with mine.
@@jamesedmonds1350 I’ve won lots of trophies and awards with mine too
What a beatiful car great Sound , real badass .
Thank you
Would you sell it bro
Nope! I’ve had lots of people try to buy it but this is my very first car.
Absolutely stunning,, my dad's had a few 66s but never got them looking this gorgeous ❤
Thank you
Hands down my favorite car. This one is a beauty.
Thank you
Beautiful car man. As it is yours and not mine, I wouldnt change a damn thing about it.
Change out those wheels for some sidewall
No way! That wouldn’t fit this build
@@HalfacreFabrications You aren't going to hook up on any kind of holeshot, your ride quality will suffer, you're going to loose speed from higher rotating mass, chances of bending a wheel from hitting a bump is higher, over heating the brakes from rotating mass, and those wheels absolutely don't fit a '66 Chevelle. Send them back to Chip Foose
@@hermanmuenster1405 well you are entitled to your opinion. It is not built for racing. It is a show car. My ride quality is fine and these are not from foose
Are you standing on it?
Yes, it was moving around
