Off the top of my head, I can recall using: 1) Tokyo Scoring Strings 2) Synthesizer V (Mai voicebank) 3) Cinematic Studio Brass 4) Cinematic Studio Woodwinds 5) Garritan CFX Piano 6) Primarily True Strike for percussion, and maybe supplemented with some others such as Jaeger, Nucleus, and/or Ferrum Free Otherwise, please let me know what else you'd like to know! Like, if you're interested in mixing/mastering plugins as well. And good luck with your covers! :)

The instrument I think you're referring to is Ample China Erhu, I like it a lot and can recommend it! @@thejasonpai582 It is on the lounder end but it's not overpowering. I'd reccomend checking out some tracks from Witch from Mercury and Armored Core VI for comparison. I reccomend "Happy Birth Day to You" , "Aerial Rebuild", and "Calibarn" from Witch from Mercury, and "Cries of the Coral" from AC6.

For future reference if you want to do more vocals like this again (you really should), here are some tracks with vocals that might be of interest.
