Yes, you saw one of the selves in your Higher Self that was captain of a sailing ship. Your life became intertwined with that other life when your life was planned. You will stay the individual you are through eternity, but other selves part of your Higher Self will come into Earth School.

They tell us Earth is the nursery. Here, we gain our personalities, attitudes, level of love and compassion, memories, and all the rest of what makes us who we are. When we have developed that person, we can go on to the next life where we reflect on our lives here and learn from the reflection. This life is basic training. In the next life, we live in circumstances that fit our dispositions. It doesn't matter what kind of life they led on Earth. The person they are when they arrive determines their living conditions. If a person is kind and loving, that person lives in a lovely, modest house with other people who are kind and loving. If a person is violent, angry, and spiteful, that person lives in circumstances that are less pleasant with others of like mind. They bicker with each other and carry on with their attitude of being uncaring and angry. There is no such place as "hell." The place these people live together is being created by their minds. They all will eventually rise out of that place as they change their attitude and become more loving and compassionate. Wealth or lack of it on Earth has nothing to do with their state of mind or where they live in the afterlife.

@@touche97 There is no "karma" in the way people think of it. Our Souls and others plan our lives. We confront challenges and tragedies to learn from them. Illness and disability do not keep a person from having a fulfilled, happy life filled with love, peace, and joy. We create the unhappiness and we create the happiness. Both are in our control.

The message from the afterlife refers to other people in the Higher Self incarnating. So a Higher Self might have thousands of people who incarnate. They are all intertwined with each other. A fragment from a life already lived might be used in a new life. That intertwining is where people like Kardec get the idea we incarnate again. But we as individuals don't reincarnate. @@seekreality3023 there’s a lot of NDE stories on RUclips that have people explaining there stories that their guides showed them their past lives etc. When I went to two mediums I wasn’t even asking about reincarnation as such as she brought up all this stuff I’ve had a very tough few years and one said we die and then go back to whatever and pick our next life etc and they have been told by communicating with the dead and the other one said each person has three parts of them one that stays in the afterlife and two that are having Lives one has the easy one and the other has the hard life (me) I cried for weeks and make myself Sick over the thought of forgetting My little boy and my family But they all claim that people That have passed On have told them this
