the mountain and the river (Piano part)
Hello everyone! Before anything else, I offer profuse apologies about the occasional clanking in the background... this piano was really the most excellent one I could find, but it simply had the problem of being in this room with all that noise!!
Anyhow, this is a song (yes, it has a vocal part!) composed along to some very remarkable words written by a certain pea/baker; you can find the details in the linked document, as usual. Unfortunately, I won't sing along to it for you all, but maybe you can get an idea if you check the sheet music. I DID attempt to write the piano part so that it could stand by itself, anyway, so hopefully you enjoy it still!

MR. FUNKMASTER THIS IS FOR YOU RAAAHHHHHH- 💥 Hello everyone! I've finally finished my first piece, Hero & Fantasy!! There's a lot to say about this, and you can read all about it in the document below. But first, I'd like to tell you that the two words of this piece's title are linked by another word (specifically, a genre/style of classical music). Take a guess, and have a read! :) More commen...

Hello guys! Today I've played something by Wintergatan, the successor band of Detektivbyrån, whose music I shared two weeks ago. This is an improvisation for piano only by Martin (Wintergatan's leader), and really quite easily playable. Pick up the sheet music if you want! And go support Wintergatan!! Hello! I've uploaded a new video in a week, that's crazy!! It's another transcription, from accordion & glockenspiel to piano. The sheet music is in the original instrumentation. You can still read it all as piano music, though. Ay y'all I'm back with another recording! This time I think it was pretty good, the fast middle bit was maybe messy (and now I think I played the whole piece too fast), but I am happy with it. People say it's overrated but it still h i t s so hard, so I like it. The story behind this piece is pretty scary too! Very neat :) Have a nice day!! Time taken: less than 2 months

Waltz in A Minor - B. 150 (Op. Posthumous) by Chopin

The last of the waltzes, and here is one I guarantee that anybody who has seriously learned classical piano has played before. I also bet it's the first waltz and maybe even the first Chopin we've all played. And struggled with. "Eeee why are there so many accidentals and grace notes and what's a triplet? WHAT'S THAT THING WITH A 5 ON IT???" Anyhow, I am finally finished with this little set of...

Here is the second waltz! It is also very famous, despite not having a nickname. In fact it might even be more famous than L'adieu. I am not afraid to admit that I made over 70 takes to get this, though I guess I deserve it for trying to learn it in a week :P Time taken: 1 week
"L'adieu" Waltz in Ab Major - Op. 69 No. 1 by Chopin

Hallo! I've got a few waltzes I picked up randomly last week, and here's the first of them. I like it a lot because its main theme sounds like it's coming from far away, in space or in time. A lot of Chopin's pieces are nostalgic even if you think you've never heard them, but I think the feeling is especially strong in this one. Time taken: 1 week

    oh i love it so much! 🥹 the clanking in the background wasn't a problem at all- my only request is that you should've sung along to the piece because you've composed the vocal part incredibly well lmao. it's certainly different from the stuff you've put out in the past for sure, but it's an interesting new direction for you methinks and i'm all in for it! keep it coming my friend 🙇🏻 p.s. the original words were by postingtime?! raagh i love their work so much i've seen them in twt occasionally

      @@alexandralanorias thank you as usual!! there's a nonzero chance I will share the part with voice... but it will have to be in the rather distant future :P It's definitely in a slightly different style! Less open harmonies, more progression-driven... I'm still exploring styles, I think :) and yea!! pea is famous on twt, by now!!

    my live reaction, typed whilst also checking out your doc: - my favorite part of the piece is also the quasi-mazurka passage, the one in in the key of f# minor, which should also surprise no one hehe. - for me, the transitions weren't awkward at all! in fact, they sounded seamless! - aaargh i *knew* it was chopin-related because of the word 'fantasy' (although there are also other composers who have written for this genre but duh i know who you are!!!), but i didn't know it was a link to *two* pieces 😭 - i'm glad that you were able to reference your two fave composers in this piece! and scriabin also! (i'm pretty sure the fellow who told you that they could hear sorabji in this piece was just messing with you lol. you're absolutely right, no one understands his music.) - i am avidly awaiting your next piece in this series/suite/collection/something! that's all, and thank you for letting us have a chance to hear your amazing first piece! i do believe that taking the first step is essential if you want to reach for the cosmos, and i hope you feel the same way as well :) now you've encouraged me to pick up on my (abandoned) compositions again! (tbh 'sketches' would be a more appropriate term because they don't have the breadth and depth yet lmao). kudos to you my dear friend and have a splendid day!

    i don't know if it's just me but now that it's arranged for piano it sounds more iridescent than the original accordion and glockenspiel piece

    • @the_eternal_paradox
      @the_eternal_paradox Год назад

      really?? I think the sparkliness of the glockenspiel stood out more in the original because the instruments contrasted... but, in general, piano is shinier than accordion, so in a way you're right 🤔

    • @amclanorias
      @amclanorias Год назад

      aaah i really have no idea how to explain it myself lmao but what i meant was that the original sounds more sonorous/deep and your arrangement sounds, yeah, 'shinier' as you put it and more lighthearted due to the piano's 'tinkly' quality but it still retains that sort of yearning heard in the original. anyways i'll stop explaining myself in a worse manner now haha stellar job as always!

    Hello! Paradox. I'm Rosylia. Maybe you have heard some of my tracks. These days I am finding a good pianist for Cooperation. I am a composer. And I joined BOFXVI, A music event. When this event ends, I want a good pianist such as you who can play the piano version of these tracks. It's a good chance. And I prepared at least 8 songs. I think it will make us known to others and increase our popularity. Let me know if you glad to accept this chance on my twitter: @Lvies_rosylia
