i have windows xp installed on my trash find pc thingy works great and fixes my sound card issues for my debian 12 because debian cant do it for some reason i dont know how but it just works

yeah i figured that out, but this thing is a t410s, so it uses a special 1.5inch hdd im pretty sure. so it wont be an easy upgrade or replacement. thats why i dont think im gonna get it

Love the original GB Advance. Honestly find it more comfortable than the SP. It definitely benefits from a backlight mod, though.
Consider getting a drop in IPS Screen and a EZ Flash Omega Definitive Edition, as well as probably a replacement shell but maybe you can clean up the contacts of the start button.

idk, but if you want quality like this you have a few options, option 1 is to buy a cheap digital camera from the early 00s, (or camcorder depending wich one) i recommend one earlier than 2005, you just switch it to video mode, and when you watch what you filmed, it looks like this video. 2nd option is to buy a old cellphone, but not too new (2008 or earlier) i like old green logo sony erricsons, you can buy other ones, just make sure you look at the megapixels (less than 1 megapixel, a phone with 0.3 should do). and 3rd is just heavilly compressing your video, (you film with your smartphone or whatever, and you run it thru a software or a website and have it compress it to the max, dont use the sites/softwares with no quality loss, otherwise the only thing that will change is the file size,) if you compress your video, but the audio quality is not terrible enough, watch this ruclips.net/video/bt3_q8z0dzw/видео.html PS: yes i am a nerd, 🤓🤓🤓 and if you cant hold it in can start world war 3 in the comments, (NOT RECOMMENDED. Why? The backlight would just be an extra cost passed on to the consumer and it would eat through your AA batteries
@ They made a near perfect handheld for the time and they still didn’t fix the GBs biggest flaw. Adding a backlight really wouldn’t kill the batteries super quickly either if it was just something like the GB light.

The two things which consume the CPU time on older systems like these are the Windows Update Process; one of the several svchost.exe processes and the other being the Windows Defender Antimalware software msmpeng.exe. After a fresh install, I recommend disabling the Antivirus, running updates till they're completed and then proceed to doing some actual work. The update process can be sped up by maximizing the priority of the particular svchost.exe process involved in the Windows Updates. But once a process priority is set to real-time, the CPU will tend to it more than even basic I/O and you may find the computer unresponsive when it's not. I use System Informer; an advanced task manager to do that. You can 'run as' trusted installer in System Informer to delete those useless OneDrive, Microsoft Edge and other Microsoft Bloatware.

My family bought this machine new back in the day. Hard to believe it was a few thousand dollars back in the day. I still have the machine and it works, though it runs Windows XP now. I've been debating on putting Win98 back onto it for old times sake :)

jsut to clear somethings up: it still works pretty reasonable. I just tried to compile minecraft and i guess it didnt like that with 2gb of ram. basic internet browsing still works fine!
tbh. i worked with older computers. Problem probably is that you use cluttered system or old drive. U can use modified clear windows 10 images to make it even faster. Still you can put in new ssd drive and enjoy machine little longer.
yeah i think it even has an ssd. It was just lagging out bc i was trying to install minecraft lol. it still works pretty okayish
