Bud , clean up engine bay, frame rearend drive line motor and transmission. Leave patina if that yer jam , but the rest clean prep and paint to make sure yer bad Azz Patina Chevy , is completely sound and solid and the out side looks ,,,,,,, well you call it Patina . I’m old school , it’s surface rust !, !!!

Nice straight body. Not being able to see your cowl tag I can't be certain but most likely this was born a Impala sports coupe, not an SS. Looks to be from clues born a 327/250 hp PG car, probably Autumn gold 920, PS, PB car. The trunk panel trim along with the dash trim is Impala sport coupe not SS engine turned trim. Good Luck, deserves a complete restoration.

good job but to be definitively efficient, you should put grease everywhere. grease et the only thing very efficient against rust. put grease between metal and carpet, inside door, behind metallic bumper, under the vehicle, behind the repairs you can make (everywhere inside the body - hidden erea - instead of using paint), hollow areas (necessarily hidden, so no need to be aesthetic). For rear wings unreachable with a paintbrush, use an extender and poor old oil everywhere each year.Handyman Experience - 35 years. From france

I,m going to tell you a sad story, about a 63 Impala SS, My Brother own for 2 weeks, speed, It was a special 427 first year that motor came out, I have never seen another , He hated that car, He paid 300 dollars , He said it drove like a tank, He's a Moron, He disliked the car so much he junked it, Now that's a idiot. This was back in 74.I heard by the owner of the Junk yard sat there 15 years a Man bought that lived in NY its now in a Private collection.

Loved this series! Hope you come back with an update. Definitely a lot of work and money in this build.

The axles might not fit because the spacing is slightly different when you put those EM2 knuckles on your chassis. That’s just a guess.

Has deluxe interior as well.

Just because it’s an RS doesn not mean it’s not an SS as well. I had several 67?SS/RS cars. Which are super sports with the rally sport options, delux interior, hide away headlights.

I have this camaro now,,I have no plans on painting it,, I’m gonna drive it just like it is,, only going to get it mechanically sound with everything working
