Hi RUclipsrs,
When I started this channel it was just to share things with my ever growing family so that when I'm grey & old & in the nursing home the grandkids can say "hey Grandad, can you remember doing this?" I realise now that that was quite selfish. I now know that some good can come out of this.
My aim for the channel is to show the local scout group how machines work for example, I am making a car from scrap so they can see how it works & once its built i will take it apart and get the scouts to help me put it back together and drive it round the field in 1 day. This will be a sponsored event to raise money for them.
I also want to look at things left over from the Industrial Revolution, this could be derelict ruins, country walks or explaining very simple engineering principles like Fred Dibbnah or the program Scrap Heap Challenge did.
Lets face it.... it doesn't do itself or it would have happened yesterday!!
So with this in mind why not join me for the journey.

Wy not using cdi and pickup coil for the ignition?
Funnily enough I'm trying a unit off a honda crb 1000 because it should have dynamic ignition
I use twin gy6 scooter dc cdi on my renault clio mk2 1.4 engine
That's good to know I was thinking about using 2 of those but I didn't know if they would work
3 years on.. thanks for the info..👍🏻
The flight of steps you went down were built in the 1880s by Huddersfield Corporation as part of the laying out of Beaumont Park. Several public rights of way ran down through the woods and these were effectively lost due to the park gates being closed at night, so the steps were built just outside the boundary of the park to provide a single re-routed right of way down onto Meltham Road (the legal rights to close to old paths were obtained by the Huddersfield Improvement Act 1880). At the bottom of the steps, you'd have had to take a sharp right along a narrow footpath that ran parallel but on a lower level to the trackbed. The path emerged just in front of the gates at the lower entrance to the park. From there, you'd go under "Quarry Bridge" (the flat bottomed railway bridge built to allow stone-laden carts access out of the quarries in Dungeon Wood) and then follow the path down to Meltham Road. Over the years, a few people have assumed that the steps were built to provide access to the short-lived Woodfield Station, but that station closed in 1874.
Thank you so much for that. I live in Crossland Moore myself. And I am learning new things about the place I love all the time Thank you
