In January 2024 a friend and I took a trip to visit one of the premier bonsai exhibitions in the world. The Unión Del Bonsai Español - UBE is often referred to as the Spanish Kokfu.
The exhibition didn't disappoint and a video of it will follow in due course, but for me a highlight whenever I visit Madrid is being able to go to the most incredible home of Europe bonsai, Luis Vallejo Bonsai Museum.
With over 200 specimen bonsai created by true Japanese masters of the art such as Masahiko Kimura, Saburo Kato, Hiroshi Takeyama and Shinji Suzuki. But what is truly wonderful is there are so many bonsai in the collection that weren't only created by Luis Valle...

Many people have said this, but David explains that this would be the easy way out and create a tree that looks much like many other out there.
