Starting an unknown 1275 A series motor in a special engine stand.
you need a spacer on the clutch cover, as your tightening the cover the clutch is engaging causing the kickstart to slip….
Rad issue.?
Looks fantastic. Great work and thanks for sharing :) My first Vespa was a P200e 1979 that I got as a teenager in the mid 1980's. I bought a PX200e in 2003 (last of the line model). Had a stroke last year and sold my original P200e to fund a restoration on the PX200e. I added a 210 Malossi, matched and ported, venturi carb, race clutch, lightened flywheel, modified Si carb and a load of other tweaks. It's my daily runner now and I ride at least 50 miles a day, with 300 mile round trips to scooter rallies - 65mph comfortably at cruise and around 80mph flat out. I love Vespas.
Only mistake (although I think it looks better) is the double round headlights. Original BG Perana had the square headlights. Other than that a very nice build!
Im restoring a P2 right now a d80% there. Your look great
She's a beauty!!! And your dawglies gave an assist to boot! Your a$$ ain't no fatter than mine, so not to worry. And did I notice a really sweet little Bug-Eye Sprite tucked away in your garage??? Good on ya'!
Wow, you do great work. I’m working on a 79 P200 at the moment. Love yellow and black. Thanks for posting this, I’m pumped up now.
Fantastic build. Well done. Love the fluffy helpers.
I have a 1979 Vespa P200 given to my by my mother after my father died. (It has ONLY 800Miles). Has front fender dented some as a kid layer it down in a gravel driveway and didn’t have any skills. It has a lot of chrome(basket, rear rack, mirrors, etc). Dad bought it thinking he would ride it to work but was never a biker/scooter guy. I have a 2008 Aprilia SPORTSCITY 250 with 7,000 miles only. I had 10k service at 6,000 miles as I moved farther away from my (single trusted mechanic). YOUR VESPA brought tears. I hope one day I can find a source that can fix up this one. God bless!
Looks new and cool
My goodness, I would love to watch this video, but the horrible music made me stop it!
Beautiful work - well done…
Nice car but that music was made for an all gay disco swing boat cruise.
Great build and a great soundtrack. Thanks for brightening up the day!
I owned a euro Capri for about 3 yrs wish I'd kept it
The music is horrible
cell phone number Fc
Vna2t?
Befok!
awesome... well done.
How could I get in touch? Keen to ask a few questions about the build?
Nice specs
Badass!
Ruined by Quela music ! What were you thinking ?
"Maticulous attention to detail"?
That looks like my first car, a 73 Capri V6. What’s the VIN? Never mind, I see it is a 74.
One of my favorite cars. Hard to find. I’m glad people are saving them.
Scene changes did my head in !
Nice looking outcome! I had three Capris when I was a kid. ‘71 2000 and two Black Cat ‘76’s. Both of those were totaled in two separate freak near head on collisions. 😥 Looking back at those pics of the wrecked cars, hard to believe I lived through them both. Probably a tribute to the heavy gauge sheetmetal of a German made car. There was a guy in my town back then that had a white Rock Stock Capri. Huge flared out fenders. Car was stunning and I always wanted one. Closest I ever got is the AutoArt 1/18 white wide body diecast I bought a couple years ago. Beautifully crafted example, but NOT cheap!
Nice job boys.
Why put that music on it fuck the whole video same it look good to

Hi. I've enjoyed your videos and appreciate your putting the Capri through the paces. Just curious, what was involved to convert the front hubs over to a 5-lug? Thanks.
La mustang du pauvre et plus riches de bouilles
Stopped watching 30sec in just because of the music.
Great car but not a fan of the mango groves
beautifull job
I didn’t mind the music. Was colourful.
Nice work but the perana wasn't a face lift mk 1 they were the model before.
Hey Darren love your capri. I was really into them back in the 90's I have had so many I cant remedies how many now. My last capri was a beautiful forest green 72 with the 2.6 I built it up just a little lol. It had been bored 40 over mild with a isky cam Mallory dual point dist. Offenhauser 4 barrel with a well jetted holly 390cfm. Clifford headers and Ansa exaughst. Suspension was mild 2 inch drop faster camber kit. Koni shocks an around. Inch and 1/4 front away bar with anti dive blocks built by me. Still wish I had that car. I had started the northwest capri club in Washington state USA also had been to england for capri fest have tons of pictures. Any way you brought back some good old memories. Thanks for that. Please feel free to message me if you ever want to b.s. about capri's
Really like this.... I restored a '69 1600gt and now run a Mk3 track day Capri. Sweet cars and great to see your attention to detail. Ignore the haters.... there are always matters of taste. I like the quad headlights but personally prefer the small tail lights- but its your car! Have it your way!
Oh My! Absolutely STUNNING!!! I had an MkII and 30 years later, I still miss it.
Good video, except for the monotonous "music".
Slow down the timelapse. Way too fast and did you get bored with the photos in the end cause it went from a very unfinished state to driving it on the road. That said, great rest job, you should b e proud. Just too hard to watch for people who like to take in some detail of your work.
If I want to contact you regarding the car rebuilt what is the best way?
Let me know what your interest is and have your email address, and I will contact you.
my interest in in a the ford capri, my email address is gurmail.gill7788@gmail.com
I have a 3.0 V6 I'm trying to find a reliable person to do same body work 💪
Looks fabulous
My dad had a red capri when I was small, loved that car, oh and mango groove too!
The second camera position from inside the car was better. Sound of the 302 was enhanced. Nicer steering wheel fitted than the rebuild video. I'm sure you enjoyed the Track time.
End result was very good. Very hard to watch with that diamond frame change and the hideous music. Can't believe on such a heavily modified car they didn't replace the skinny gutted standard steering wheel with a nice Momo.....Would've liked to have Heard the car instead of the music to the bitter end.
Adrian, thanks for insulting my creative video editing. However Mango Groove is NEVER hideous! Mango Groove is a South African icon, like the Perana. You obviously have no appreciation for Township Music; your loss. If you want to hear the car you can watch this: ruclips.net/video/vhOLUQuY1F4/видео.html or this: ruclips.net/video/5qBTTrpEpR8/видео.html. Music in these videos is free so feel free to critique.
Darren, I replayed the video and walked away from it and just had the music on. In isolation without looking at the video I could enjoy the music and hear it's African Sound. I guess for me the 2 didn't work together. Sorry if you feel insulted about your creative video editing, it just made it hard to watch.....If you had Epilepsy you'd be on the floor.....Like I said, end result was very good, you've built a Great Car, and The Perana proves that the Capri should've always had a 302 option, especially in Australia.
