    How come moment of inertia of small portion disc becomes the moment of inertia of cylinders center of mass , this explanation is not good

      After Integration of small portion disc becomes the MI of cylinder. This is a very common method of derivation in many cases and nothing special.

    In the second calculation where is 'v'? Why only 'c' is used in calculations?

      Light is moving up and down ( y direction ), while the ref frame is considered to have a velocity in the x direction , hence no component of velocity in y direction, hence only c , velocity of light is considered.
