Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering Lecture - 11 I First order series RC-circuit I Senan Academy
This video explains the transient and steady state behavior of first order RC-circuit.
Transient response is the response of the circuit which vanishes when time tends to infinity and steady state response is the response which remains even after time tends to infinity.
In this video response has been calculated during the time of charging of capacitor (when capacitor stores energy) as well as during the time of discharging of capacitor (when capacitor releases energy).
Some numerical problems also have been solved to understand the concept of response of RC-circuit.

Concept of Electrical & Mechanical Angle I Electrical Machines I Senan Academy
Просмотров 3,9 тыс.3 года назад
In this video the relationship between electrical and mechanical angle has been derived and explained. Electrical Angle = (P/2)*Mechanical Angle Where, P = Number of Poles of the machines This concept has been explained by assuming that the flux lines are parallel. In actual case flux lines are radial. Even if we take radial flux lines B-wave will be closer to sinusoidal. So, by taking this ass...

In this video Star to Delta and Delta to Star transformation has been explained. In some electrical network delta - star transformation is needed to find the equivalent resistance as in the case of Wheatstone bridge if it is not balanced because there are no two resistances which are either in series or in parallel. In this video the derivation of equivalent star from a given delta network and ...
Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering Lecture - 08 I Maximum Power Transfer Theorem I Senan Academy
Просмотров 2913 года назад
This video explains Maximum Power Transfer Theorem for DC network. The theorem states that maximum power will be transferred from source to load if the load resistance (RL) will be equal to Thevenin's equivalent resistance (Rth) of the network. Maximum Power Transfer Theorem makes uses of Thevenin's equivalent network. So, by finding the Thevenin's equivalent for a given network we can find the...
Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering Lecture - 07 I Norton's Theorem I Senan Academy

This video explains Norton's Theorem. The theorem states that a linear two terminal circuit can be replaced by a current source In in parallel with a resistance Rn, where In is the short circuit current through the terminals and Rn is the input/equivalent resistance from the terminals when all the independent sources set to zero. This video explains how to calculate Rn when dependent source is ...

This video explains Thevenin's Theorem. The theorem states that a linear two terminal circuit can be replaced by a voltage source Vth in series with a resistance Rth, where Vth is the open circuit voltage across the terminals and Rth is the input/equivalent resistance from the terminals when all the independent sources set to zero. This video explains how to calculate Rth when dependent source ...
Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering Lecture - 05 I Source Transformation I Senan Academy

This video explains the concept of source transformation. Source transformation is the process of replacing a voltage source in series with a resistor by a current source in parallel with a resistor or vice versa. The resistor which is in series with the voltage source or which is in parallel with the current source is actually the internal resistance of practical voltage or current source. It ...
Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering Lecture - 04 I Superposition Theorem I Senan Academy
Просмотров 5594 года назад
This video explains the concept of Superposition. According to superposition theorem, in a linear circuit containing two or more than two independent sources, the voltage across (or current through) an element is the algebraic sum of the voltages across (or currents through) that element due to each independent sources acting alone. Superposition theorem is based on linearity, that's why it can...
Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering Lecture - 03 I Linearity Property I Senan Academy

This video explains the concept of Linearity in electrical circuit. Linearity property is the property of an element describing a linear relationship between cause and effect. It is a combination of Homogeneity property and Additivity property. Homogeneity Property: It requires that if the input (or excitation) is multiplied by a constant, then the output (or response) is multiplied by the same...
Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering Lecture - 02 I KCL & Nodal Analysis I Senan Academy
Просмотров 4004 года назад
In this video, KCL and Nodal Analysis has been explained through examples. KCL states that algebraic sum of all the currents at a node is zero. A node is in an electrical circuit is point where two or more than two branches are connected. In applying Nodal analysis one node in the circuit is considered to be a reference node (Datum node) and it will be grounded i.e. the node voltage of referenc...
Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering Lecture - 01 I KVL & Mesh - Current Analysis I Senan Academy

This is the first lecture of video lecture series on fundaments of electrical engineering. The topic covered is KVL and mesh-current analysis. KVL states that algebraic sum of all the voltages inside a loop is zero. Loop is any closed path in a circuit and the smallest loop is called as MESH. This video contains an explanation of how to apply Mesh-Current analysis in a given circuit. Some examp...
