Pork Tenderloin with Pan Sauce
Просмотров 3573 года назад
Another GoPro video! This is just a quick one of me making pork tenderoin with a pan sauce and pearled couscous. I took a shortcut with the sauce & used a packet of brown gravy mix. I'll do another one of these where I make a sauce more from scratch, but this one shows you the basic technique. Hope you enjoy!

Another GoPro video from Midnight Bacon! This time we're stepping back in time to the 50s & 60s for a homemade version of a TV dinner classic: cube steaks braised in a brown gravy with onions and mushrooms. Hope you enjoy!

I moved into a new apartment, and I made a quick tour of the new kitchen! It has to be a quick tour because it's such a small kitchen. I hope to start shooting new videos in a few weeks, so stay tuned!

Chicken French

My latest video was shot with my new GoPro! It's much shorter than my previous ones because I've found that with the way my head moves I have to make shorter cuts. Anyway, I hope you like this one. It's a Rochester, NY original: Chicken French! I'lll include the ingredients below (they're adjusted after I made this, so it's pretty accurate for this video, and just follow along for how to cook i...

Late Night Quesadillas

A new video with my new GoPro! Point-of-view video of me making chicken quesadillas way too late at night. Although with things being as they currently are, not a ton of us have much of a schedule to keep... I didn't bother keeping track of amounts, so here's the ingredients: Canned chicken breast scallion pico de gallo (homemade) pickled jalapeños granulated garlic kosher salt black pepper Tap...
Tuna Noodle Casserole with Canned Cream of Mushroom Soup!
Просмотров 7 тыс.4 года назад
In a time of crisis, with people stuck at home (you ARE staying home, right?? Because you should be staying home!), people are needing to cook more. People are also buying all the food & T.P. in sight, so I'm going to show you how to take something you probably bought 20 cans of, condensed Cream of Mushroom soup, and make Tuna Noodle Casserole out of it. Bonus: Tuna noodle casserole that doesn'...
New! Tuna Noodle Casserole - Teaser

So I actually, finally shot a new cooking video today! In keeping with our surreal and apocalyptic times, I decided to cook something with a pantry staple that one might hoard in their basement in the event of the coronavirus end-times: condensed cream of mushroom soup! That's right, I tried to see if I could elevate this humble can of soup that has "great for cooking!" written right on the lab...
Griddle Omelette on the Blackstone
Просмотров 12 тыс.5 лет назад
The long-awaited latest #Midnight Bacon cooking video! Wherein I demonstrate how to make an omelette on a flat top griddle like they do in you favorite diner. I'm using my new(ish) Blackstone 17" propane griddle for this, and it does a magnificent job. I decided to honor some requests I got that I include more of myself in the videos. I'll have to get acclimated to being in front of the camera,...
Pastrami Hash & Fried Eggs

Hash & eggs! One of my favorite breakfasts/brunches. If I go to a diner and they make their own hash, it's about guaranteed that's what I'll order. If you watch & it notice I tell you add half the garlic but never mention the other half... oops. Add that after you assemble the hash near the end. My bad. And yes, I did shoot this video in my pajamas.... it is breakfast, after all! So here's the ...
Beef Barley Soup in the Pressure Cooker

This is more or less a demonstration of a recipe & method developed by Serious Eats, one of my favorite cooking websites. I made a couple minor changes to it though. If using store-bought stock, they recommend chicken, but I used beef. As I mention in the video, it's only because I've had this brand of beef stock before and I think it's pretty good, but most store-bought beef stock SUCKS. If yo...

An impromptu video I made on an unexpected day off due to the weather. This one is pretty informal... I'm still in my pajamas, and I didn't think to move the cat food dish out of the shot! Oh well, we can't be perfect all the time, right? I hope you enjoy this & try your hand at omelette making... it's not that hard!

Knife Skills 1 How To Not Suck At Knife Skills
Just a quick response to those of you advocating leaving all the fat in. I totally get where you're coming from, and I didn't remove all the fat. But I used very fatty ground chuck, which was probably something like 70/30, and there was a TON of fat, and I felt that it would've been an oil slick if I hadn't taken some of it out. I mean there was a pantload of fat. I left plenty in, because I agree with you, fat is where the flavor is!
“Leave the fat damn it,” love keto
What an Awesome recipe right here. Thank you for sharing this. It looks amazingly delicious!!
Thank you, very much appreciated!
Leave the fat in.
changed it up a little bit due to having limited ingredients and it turned out amazing ! ketchup is a great add
Thank you! Use what you have around, that's a top rule of cooking.
Let's see a garbage plate recipe
Thanks, I'll take it under consideration!
With traditional Rochester meat hot sauce, you don’t skim the fat off. That’s where a lot of the flavor is.
Mark’s Texas Hots has the best garbage plates! Always get extra meat sauce on the side 😄
Mark's make a great plate, especially late night after a few beverages! And I personally love to get plenty of hot sauce on the mac salad.
Pastrami with trace amounts of thumb... 😛
Surprisingly, it wasn't a knife or cooking-related injury! No thumb this time.
Loved the humor, missed the cat lol.
She was sleeping mostly, didn't decide to be a pain in the ass kitchen shark this time!
I can't wait to try this!! Love the coffee and cat made me laugh.
Excellent lesson! Definitely going to try this. Thanks, Ryan.
Thanks for watching Bob, and let me know how it turns out!
