Thank you for uploading this to RUclips. The exhibition in the Palace Museum was excellent, and I hope to visit the museum in Sichuan too one day. As much as the alien question is a silly one, you can't help but feel a sense of mystery when you stare into the eyes of those masks!
This clown does not deserve the title of professorship- his narratives are racist and outdated - he’s and engineer and a right cunt
I suggest prof M check out prof Richard Wolfe n prof Jeff sachs..
The prof's Monro doctrine is not carved in stone...hegemonism os US must continue...however ECONOMICALLY she is DECLINING whilst the world has matured Her attempts of Vietnam Afganistan iraq Syria. RUSSIA..ETC FAILED..UKRAINE is failing..But continue to DENY her decline...soon other powers will soon mature MILLITARILY AS WELL..
The US has nothing tp BB gain even if it win the US provoked .
as much as I admire your wealth of knowledge and insight, I have to disagree. china' has never been interested in expanding its boundary in 4000 years. It saw itself as the centre of the world, it had everything it needed. It didnt want to inherit the problems of the world. I am with Jeffrey Sachs. China is not USA. It does not see the wolrd with a western mind.

It's weird that economist always put so much attention to the theory of the leisure class, while "The engineers and the price system" is imho a far more impactfull but misunderstood work. The engineers and the price system was great in explaining how notably monetary economics does not reanslate to economic effeciency and can be detrimental to it.

The US cannot win the war in Ukraine against nuclear Russia, how on earth can the US win a war against nuclear China over Taiwan?
I beg to differ, China wanting to re-unify Taiwan is a pre-requisite step towards closing the book on its century of humiliation, not to challenge the US hegemony. US has no stand concerning Taiwan. Diaoyue island and South China Sea were historic Chinese way stations and important gateways to oceans beyond.
Thank you for sharing .Your attitudes and positive vibes are an inspiration for young kids.Amazing ! Vivian with the interesting interview 🎉🎉🎉
Mearsheimer, the master of doubletalk. We're bad, and bad is good because if we keep bullying, the victim of our bullying might turn bad - or even bader than we are.

Jacky Lin staff news reporter for Pearl TV speaks better English. She is a local alumna with an undergraduate degree from CUHK and a master degree from HKU. Anyone would have expected reasonably that Chicago can foster a better English speaking environment and deliver more advanced curricula than local universities in Hong Kong. Otherwise how can the school be competitive enough?

What the heck are you talking about Hong Kong professor?? Just mumbling whatever you want?
What an Evil Professor, John Mear shoe shiner! Totally rotten inside and out , an pure evil spirit! Which is the reflection of the USA! A vile and putrid colonial pirates diplomacy for the last 200 years of slash and burn rob rape and kill, to be where we are with no remorse no guilt. It's time for the beginning of the end of an EVIL EMPIRE!
she is one of the rare people in the world that have a benevolent and caring heart

Beautiful interview with engaging questions and responses. Thanks for posting this.
I think the Romans had some ideas about Empires as did the British, French etc. The Soviets (Communists, Commies, Reds etc). The thing that fascinates me about Johnny Mearsheimer , is that he is so Pro Putin and Pro Russia. I think should have gone to University of Otago here in New Zealand. Everybody knows about the Munro Doctrine…….It is so obvious that this is 3 Years old. Yes it is dated,,,,,,,,Mearsheimer needs to catch up. Cripes we have done a horrible job on dealing in Asia/Pacific. Wow I am agreeing with J Mearsheimer.
Without China and other invaded Asian countries tying up Japanese forces and straining its resources, the concept of the US singlehandedly defeating the Japanese is a false one. The defeat of Japanese might not come at all, or it comes with a disproportionate cost, human and material.

Mearshiemer is a highly competent realist, but he’s completely out of his depth economically. His support for the Democrat/Corporatist/Wall Street push the the TTP is not just criminal to the working people of Asis but to the rights of small Asian nations.
Very interested explanation. I have been following Prof Mearsheimer for some time now and agree with much of what he has to say. However I take issue with some of his views. I do not agree that China is aiming at being an hegemonic power similar as the US. China is not having oraiming at mikitaidy basis all over the world. There is no evidence of that. China is building up its military because it fears US aggressive global policies. China is building up infrastructure in numerous countries all over the world. Mearheimer should have mentioned the rapid expansion of BRICS m . Many countries are trampling to join BRICS and many more are expected to enter before the end of this year. There is much more I could have added.
Its a scandalous Distortion, an unpassaable LIE for Mersheimer, who's otherwise , knowledgeable ... BUT the FACTS are more than 79 % of. Taiwanese. impatient for the PEACEFUL REUNIFICATION with China. The 12 % shouting for independe😮nce are really Japanese who are liuyal to Japan. We're Minang Hokkien, the native Taiwanese Who are Also Han Chinese. Isnt it the case that the US is dominated by the MIC Until there arise a strong and highly. Intelligent Maestro of world Co-operation and Peace and One devored to building the crumbling Infrastructure of most of the cities as well as rural America. China will prove to be a bettter friend but the worst enemy. There might be a lot of stoopid Propaganda the world can easily identify as failed Americanpain in the bum. But the new leader has no wish to put his country into a Negative cesspit. He or she will rise. Up to meet the Chinese advancements and superiority. There wont be war between the US and China. China is too far above US's Capacity , ablity and military in scale. There will be peace in a multi-Lateral world with shared prosperity. 🎉❤😊
