Jacky Lin staff news reporter for Pearl TV speaks better English. She is a local alumna with an undergraduate degree from CUHK and a master degree from HKU. Anyone would have expected reasonably that Chicago can foster a better English speaking environment and deliver more advanced curricula than local universities in Hong Kong. Otherwise how can the school be competitive enough?

I think the Romans had some ideas about Empires as did the British, French etc. The Soviets (Communists, Commies, Reds etc). The thing that fascinates me about Johnny Mearsheimer , is that he is so Pro Putin and Pro Russia. I think should have gone to University of Otago here in New Zealand. Everybody knows about the Munro Doctrine…….It is so obvious that this is 3 Years old. Yes it is dated,,,,,,,,Mearsheimer needs to catch up. Cripes we have done a horrible job on dealing in Asia/Pacific. Wow I am agreeing with J Mearsheimer.

Without China and other invaded Asian countries tying up Japanese forces and straining its resources, the concept of the US singlehandedly defeating the Japanese is a false one. The defeat of Japanese might not come at all, or it comes with a disproportionate cost, human and material.

Mearshiemer is a highly competent realist, but he’s completely out of his depth economically. His support for the Democrat/Corporatist/Wall Street push the the TTP is not just criminal to the working people of Asis but to the rights of small Asian nations.

Very interested explanation. I have been following Prof Mearsheimer for some time now and agree with much of what he has to say. However I take issue with some of his views. I do not agree that China is aiming at being an hegemonic power similar as the US. China is not having oraiming at mikitaidy basis all over the world. There is no evidence of that. China is building up its military because it fears US aggressive global policies. China is building up infrastructure in numerous countries all over the world. Mearheimer should have mentioned the rapid expansion of BRICS m . Many countries are trampling to join BRICS and many more are expected to enter before the end of this year. There is much more I could have added.

Its a scandalous Distortion, an unpassaable LIE for Mersheimer, who's otherwise , knowledgeable ... BUT the FACTS are more than 79 % of. Taiwanese. impatient for the PEACEFUL REUNIFICATION with China. The 12 % shouting for independe😮nce are really Japanese who are liuyal to Japan. We're Minang Hokkien, the native Taiwanese Who are Also Han Chinese. Isnt it the case that the US is dominated by the MIC Until there arise a strong and highly. Intelligent Maestro of world Co-operation and Peace and One devored to building the crumbling Infrastructure of most of the cities as well as rural America. China will prove to be a bettter friend but the worst enemy. There might be a lot of stoopid Propaganda the world can easily identify as failed Americanpain in the bum. But the new leader has no wish to put his country into a Negative cesspit. He or she will rise. Up to meet the Chinese advancements and superiority. There wont be war between the US and China. China is too far above US's Capacity , ablity and military in scale. There will be peace in a multi-Lateral world with shared prosperity. 🎉❤😊

Well.actually but there will be to end that problem so we dont go to damage the China economic really my aims is more than that olso we need to see the global peace agreement that is great and other article we need freedom business this is my opinion seriously it is depend on to make sure that the world so every country will benefit of the merchant of them because we do think to bring back a peace and stability of the world so China can be better than that it doesn't matter because everyone make a mistake by day after that is good so every one needs a peace and life for example if u are unkey leader the people will hate you so much olso we tight hug and stability that is good so we see what is going in plastin in Ukraine and some thing else so we see China and Tiwan so ibleive it will be alright soon olso if we come to together so we are stronger than this time so we call for ceasefire every problem guickly so much but we think what is good so we haven't abated the fight which is more than that so we need to solve the social problem really that is enough is enough for us because we are tired really iwould like to tell you a true so we are running status of the USA so that is great olso China it must be support the best way really economic will be alright soon olso we are one family whom live together in the world so we will have a better chance to talk with all my friends are coming for you last time i would do anything for you because ilove China peace and stability that is good so thank about this is my advice because ilove you ❤❤

It's already long past time for the USA. All the absurd not so veiled threats by Blinken & the incompetent spokesperson s from the USA Military. John the balance shifted quite a while ago.China would " vaporize the entire antique 2 nd fleet" & they would be doing that 200 plus nautical miles before the S S Ronald Reagan met it's fate in Davey Jones Locker. It's time for John to have a little listen to Former Kernel Douglas McGregor & his factual data on Chinese Military prowess , concerning missile defense and offense. You will be in shock, that is a certainty. I'll guess Mr McGregor is Also a Realist, who knows what's going on & what's up ,just like Any battle with Iran,by U.S forces. Not only is the U S currently unable to defeat the Iranian Military or China, Russia ? Forget about it, Zero chance!!! Nobody is with the USA, except Israel and Idiots in Canada, that's about all , Germany is finished ,& Israel won't be around long if it persists in its genocidal course ,now on Gaza, finally on itself.😮

Oh yes John Biden and his State Dept has done ✅ incredibly well, considering Biden is a " walking Death Rattle" ! Watching Blinken race around the 🌎 every other day to try and put out the obvious fires, ignited by Victoria Nuland after the failed color revolution in 2010/2014, as the public sided with Russia & preferred their rules & protection. To her credit , just shy of 500,000 dead Ukrainian boys and men " an entire generation" are. Now disappeared - killed death rate of 20,000 monthly x 24 months ,plus the huge # s that are severely injured , destined for a life of sorrow... Shameful the🎉😂 truth will remain & is their & also Boris Johnson Criminal cabash on the negotiated settlement over twenty months ago To include the " obvious Genocide" being live streamed by Israel a State on the verge of destroying itself, currently subsiding on that " Razors Edge". The IKC has heard South African claims of the case for the murderous campaign of genocide with zero end in sight ,led by a military with personal so void of morality ,&Humanity any discerning respect for a real two state solution ?
