I've loved this song most of my life, sad as it actually is. The first time I remember hearing it was when some of my Mennonite cousins (Mom's side is Mennonite) sang it in Plautsdietsch. Hello, I really love this song. I really would love to learn it on my uke also. You should post a lesson or tutorial for this one. I often use it for a workout. Slow and fast movements are good for your heart. On the chorus, I take off and jog in place to really get the blood going. On the slower parts, I just slow to a walk. This one wouldn't be good for a treadmill but it's just perfect for what I do. As you prepare to speed up, I also prepare to take off either jogging in one spot or skipping. My very favorite hymn is rock of ages but I love this one also. I'm just curious, I hear a thumping sound in the background as you play. Are you tapping your foot or something? I'm blind so I can't see you. Thank you so much for this. Keep up the good work.
