No to już to widzę, po takiej naprawie - to jak ze szrotu ! Albo z wystawki !!
Wow, what a beautiful restoration job. Nice work.
nice but terrible printing and silver pitch stripe instead of black
Where can I get wires and the cable like that?
How do you glue it back
One drop of contact adhesive
lovely
Thank you for this is really useful info. I love my Mastertracker and was not looking forward to the day it was going to need retipping. Of course, whether my old hands and eyesight are up to the challenge is another story
This is not the first time that this company presents a problematic truth to its customers,They use Audio-Technica cartridges in a different and expensive wrapper
@@virtuosoaudio7077 Hmm! My cart came at a much reduced 'stock clearance' price. Maybe I should try out an even cheaper 740ML, even though the bodywork looks decidedly unimpressive!.
@@virtuosoaudio7077 I see that Mofi have reduced them to $499! Stung by the criticism maybe? I like the threaded body compared to the 'slotted' AT 540/740.
@@geoffreywilton8610 They use the same cartridge (AT 540), just added a branded housing and prevented the possibility of changing the needle.
Hi, thank you very much for your video.. i am restoring a Thorens TD125 mk1 with Sme 3002 series 2 (non improved). I noticed that the second piece of the balance weight is missing.. i can reproduce it with my lathe, but i would need dimensions and weight .. But the user manual says that can be removed , and used only when the cartridge/shell is very "heavy" or with a tracking force over 2.5 grams.. what do you think about? thanks!
Why do people who are involved with acoustics have such a bad taste when it comes to choosing music for the background - RUclips has a nice library of free music and all you need to do is go there and just listen and then make your choice - what use is there in playback technic if all you have to offer is noise?
Too bad that the parts we literally all came here to see are the parts you didn't film.
Hi. Do you any for sale?
How can i get this repair kit?
The new kit is available here www.ebay.com/itm/134930807449
Nice. When you lowered the tonearm you should have let a few seconds of the audio play. It was such a tease. What's the story? Why was it in such bad condition?
If these are so good then why are they not being produced today ? Seems odd to me as they cannot cost that much to make.
Geez what a pain in the ass to fix something that should never have broken to begin with. I will just buy a better turntable
No more project junk for me….technics is ordered. Mine never worked from new and with carbon tone arm.
Great video, music is WAY too loud tho. Cheers
Thanks very much for the video demonstrations! Please excuse my ignorance, but is this a Series II tonearm? I have a Series I so I'm curious if the process is similar.
Hi, this is the first SME 3009 series (you can tell by the plastic /Bakelite headshell) , Then was replaced by the SME3009 series 2 improved , witch has no improvement in perfornance over this one, this is the go to vintage SME arm. It can take a regular screw in headshell as long as you align the cartridge. Hope this helps.
You could try Dow Corning high vacuum grease, it's a very high viscosity silicone grease, although it's a bit high at 2,000,000 centistokes!
One of the great names in "Hi-Fi"/vinyl days...well worth restoring to its original working glory.
When they describe a record player as a ‘Transcriptor ’ it means they can add a few hundred dollars to the price 😂
Branding is everything :)
Hello, nice result!, thanks for the video. How do you resolve all the lenco "letters lines?¨thanks!!
We have stencils for Lenco, Technics etc.
Five minutes watching you disassembling for... Nothing
Thanks for sharing. It's ashame that you didn't show how you restored it. Great job though! I have a mk2 L78 also. I sandplasted powdercoated the chassis and replaced the aluminium wand for a carbon fibre wand with racer bearings. Great job!
I try to make relatively short clips, so it is not possible to show the whole process, if you have questions I will try to answer
Agree, there are no decent youtube tutorials for the lenco.

Very nice work Would you restore one if I sent you one?
Sure, why not harmonixpro@gmail.com
Can I ask what colour code spray paint you used please?
This is an old project, to the best of my memory the color is matte black
Really wonderful! What tonearm is used?
Jelco SA750L 12"
U do restoration service ?
Sure, Facebook.com/virtuosoaudio what model?
First picture shows a black pitch fader. Last picture zilver pitch fader. Why?
Because it's a fake video
Is there alternative for silicone grease 300 000 cSt ?
Grease with a high viscosity level is the most effective option,
OK, thank you.
I have a project carbon fibre tone arm - should i still use 300k silicone or 100k?

Congratulations 🎊
My dream turntable.
These things are like working on the automobile.
Very nice.
Very nice. I wish there was more detail on the motor revision. Did it need it? Great work and result at the end.
Of course the E50 motor has been rebuilt, bushings, suspension rods etc.
I hope to upload a video soon John
Hi again. Any plans for the E50 motor maintenance video? Thanks
Powder coated or spray painted? Look nice!
Where can I buy this kit ?
i guess I'm kinda off topic but does anybody know of a good website to watch newly released movies online ?
@Nicolas Abraham Flixportal :)
@Leo Amari Thank you, I signed up and it seems like a nice service :D Appreciate it!!
@Nicolas Abraham you are welcome =)
Que as usado para limpiarlo? O as comprado todo nuevo?
Excellent job,👍
Nice 👍🏻
What's the music? (Great gear job!)
Beautiful work!! An honest question: How did you restore the tone arm? The original looks pitted and corroded and the restoration makes it look basically brand new? What kind of cleaning, buffing magic is at work here? Any tips would be most welcome!
Do you know how to refill the oil and where the oil goes?
Look under the platter and there will be an oil well. That is how it works with my hydraulic reference. I would use something to absorb the old oil like a few rags and clean it out, then pour in the new oil. Good luck!
The fluid is not oil as such although any fluid with the correct viscocity will work, it probably won't smell too nice. Contact Michell Engineering for the correct silicon fluid. Spills can be cleaned up using lighter fluid but be careful of damaging the finish. If you really want to improve the decks performance consider replacing the AC motor with an Origin Live DC motor kit, it is not cheap but it only takes about an hour to swap them over and the improvements are worth every penny. Also try adding a few layers of heat shrink around the outside of the main bearing housing, a smaller difference but worthwhile.
It is not oil, silicon fluid, is what is needed for this to work right.
I think its better left original, the motors in them were good, no need to change anything.
the oil goes in the dish under the platter. not really an oil more like a silicone
