I’ve only ever caught and released, so I came here to learn to clean/fillet. In the other vids I watched the rib cages had to be removed after filleting, but this man cut HUGE boneless fillets right over the top of the ribs!!!! I’m going to watch this and practice repeatedly until I master his technique. Someone in the thread called him a magician, and I couldn’t agree more. Thank you for the tutorial!!!

This was a great meeting to watch but very frustrating. How can we have fish naturally reproduce in the lake when the core pulls it down right after the spawns something has to be done I know they don't like to do stocking but stocking is the answer I've seen it in several different lakes I don't claim to be a biologist but something has to be done because if you keep waiting and we keep having tournaments are delayed mortality is not going to just magically put itself back and restock the population from what we have after tournaments in a delayed mortality something has to be done I get tired of the conservation saying the same old stuff

The hardest part is always keeping the knife razor sharp. And I mean RAZOR sharp. A dull knife will RUIN the meat of a fish, and make filleting a REAL MESS!!!!!!!!!

I filleted fish with a regular knife yesterday by cutting through the ribs. I can see right now this is a better way.

Love Jessica's mentioning cleaning up the lake. The litter around South Fork is bad after the spring rains.

I throw my anchor in the rip rap rock to hold it. A smooth concrete ramp won't hold an anchor if the boat wants to float away.
