Neurobiblical Love 2023 Part 3
At the 13:30 mark of this video, the question from Charlotte is gently fielded during the seminar by Dr. Matheson. But childhood abuse, especially sexual abuse is a difficult topic to address in a public forum. However, it's so important that healthcare professionals should consider this video after completing the Neurobiblical Love series:

Yes stroke rehab wont happen at all if left to the lazy staff of most rehab facilities. Family MUST become actively involved. Or there will be little improvement. If you love the stroke victim, show up dailey and remind the staff that you are activly overseeing your family members' care and NO subpar care will be tolerated.

I had a massive debilitating stroke in 2021 and after a year and a half of intensive rehabilitation I still am left with disabilities and was told they are permanent. I don't believe that. Zi believe God will heal me. I can eat and speak now and I continue to exercose daily hoping to fully recover. It is hard. Some days, I feel discouraged specially when I don't get so much support anymore coz it has been 3 years and my improvements are very very slow. I continue to be the coach of my life and keep motivating myself and believing in God’s power to prrform miracles. Please pray for me.

For my experienced otherwise was only 6 months to one year recovery period, now I am fine very fine after a series of several therapies during months of massage 'till now...!

If by faith you mean self belief then I absolutely agree. That other faith is bs. One morning at the end of 2010, and after a night out, the last part of the evening where I scolded a single Jaeger bomb, a spirit mixed with red bull, a heavily sugar laced energy drink I normally steer well clear off because they make me hallucinate, I fell out of bed whilst half asleep. But to my surprise my body was stuck! I couldn't move my entire right side, and I could not speak, not utter a single sound so I couldn't call out to my flatmates to help get me up off the floor. I felt imprisoned in my body but my mind was as sharp as ever. It was an effort trying to drag myself off the floor. After a few moments I was exhausted. The blankets had fallen with me so I laid back for a breather. I half panicked thinking that at age 51 my life was over, I'd need the support of others for the rest of my life. However, I am staunchly resilient and I possess a strong self belief. So, whilst on the floor I imagined my immediate goal: to be lying on my bed. Alone, by hook or by crook and after a rest or reset I struggled but slowly made my way back on to the bed. I then lay back and imagined a narrow future for myself. Then I phoned a sister with whom we are supportive of each other. We spoke for two hours about my new condition. My speech was slurred and I was making no sense at first but that got better the more we talked. I was overjoyed at the progress I was just then making. My sister said she will put me up to take care of me. However, to my resilient mind she was a fall back, should I need it. So, that was comforting to know. I have a young daughter, recently married, just starting out on the path of adult life. She would be my very last resort and I chose not to let her know just then. After, two hours gasbagging and rest I decided I needed to go to a hospital. So, keeping some kind of equilibrium I made my way with difficulty to the bathroom. The right side of my body was partially shut down although talking for two hours had freed the right side of my face a lot. At the shower is a 4cm high lip that I couldn't lift my right leg to get over. I needed my good left leg for balance. My right leg went up and down, back and forth but I couldn't get it to land in side the shower. After a few attempts, and a laugh my resilience came to the fore again. I sat on the floor in front of the shower and hauled myself in backwards, and cheered when I'd achieved my goal. Later having readied myself for a trip to the hospital my next obstacle was a single flight of stairs up to the ground level and exit and to face my flatmates. The stairs took about half an hour to climb with rest periods along the way. Eventually I made it to the comfort of a lounge chair where again I rested. I told all to one of my flatmates whom we were close to each other. He offered to drive me the 6 kilometres to the hospital, but after he gets back from an errand. So I waited, and waited and after waiting three hours I decided I couldn't wait any longer, by now the time is nearing six pm. There was still some daylight, with my impatient mind I decided to walk to the hospital; I abhor being a burden to anyone, I didn't call for an ambulance and I despise the cost of a taxi fare. So l set off walking with the gait of a stroke victim; tiny, slow steps seeming to drag my right leg. It took a long time but I'd made it to within 50 metres when my mate drove up. I was so proud of myself and my bloody mindedness. In the waiting room I had another three hour wait but inevitably that too came to an end. After more hours of questioning, mri screening followed by more waiting followed by a final mobility test I was told by the examination doctor that they could not find anything wrong with me. 😂 I deduce that with all my determined movements through brain and neuro application I'd walked off a stroke. EPILOGUE: over the next five years i'd development constant headaches till eventually they were lasting 24hours daily. My GP sent me to a neurologist. Upon examining my head X-ray he said I'd had a heart attack evidenced by gliosis shown on the X-ray; a condition indicated by a part of my brain having become fibrous. This led four years later to having a aortic valve replacement surgery for a mechanical valve due to me previously only having 50% blood flow because my aortic valve was not closing after each pump causing regurgitation of blood back I to my heart threatening enlargement of my heart which in turn causes the heart to become weaker if something wasn't done about it. My previous research and resilience informed me I was therefore only getting 50% of oxygen to my organs. Previously, I struggled with retention, comprehension and suffered terrible short term memory loss. Post valve replacement, and I strongly was aware of the implications I suddenly had far more clarity than I'd ever previously possessed. Comprehension and reading is quite suddenly a breeze. Good luck y'all.

Some people cannot be in charge of anything. Not everyone has control over their own lives or living situation. Also, worth mentioning that the very changes due to stroke stops them from doing all the exercise and getting sleep. It is a catch-22.
