Florida Grand Opera
США
Добавлен 11 май 2007
Florida Grand Opera was formed in June 1994 by the merger of Greater Miami Opera, founded in 1941, and The Opera Guild Inc., of Fort Lauderdale, founded in 1945. Celebrating its 79th year of continuous performances during the 2019/20 season, Florida Grand Opera stands as one of the oldest performing arts organizations in Florida. In addition to producing standard repertoire, Florida Grand Opera also presents lesser known operas, as well as commissions and produces new operas -- all productions featuring projected translations in English and Spanish. Annually, main stage performances are attended by nearly 60,000 people, and education and outreach programs serve over 20,000 members of the community. FGO offers several highly successful outreach and educational programs, including its internationally-recognized Studio Artist Program.

The producers were fans of Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Beautiful
Splendida voce.. quella di michael.e quindi immenso tenore ..ne sentiremo parlare per molto tempo
All wobble, no voice.
Love how she uses Sutherland's ornamentation verbatim; it's a lovely a tribute! She does them quite well too. :D
To the stage director: 1. Morris Robinson does not need a sword to kill a sinner. He has enough Baptist moral indignation to kill a dozen Don Giovannis with his death grip. 2. No wonder the Don Giovanni is not very scared. What happened to the Hell fire (you know, those yellow, orange, and red silk waving in the breeze of a fan, and all the steam coming up through the floor? 3 Did you take a good look at Morris Robinson? As a creative director you should realize that he could play Statue in blue jeans and a tee shirt. Maybe a little make-up would make the picture complete. The silly clown costume he is wearing misses the mark.
Superbe ténor !
Da 1 a 10... 10!
Superlativi, bravissimi. Il made in Italy sempre il n. 1
I don't like this opera, but god, I love its music and to get a performer this great is something for which we must be grateful
Praised for her vocal beauty, seamless technique, and abundant musicality, Nadine Sierra is being hailed as one of the most promising, young talents in opera today. She was named the Richard Tucker Award Winner in 2017 and was awarded the 2018 Beverly Sills Artist Award by the Metropolitan Opera. Having made a string of successful debuts at the Met, Teatro alla Scala, Opéra national de Paris, and Staatsoper Berlin, she has become a fixture at many of the top houses around the world. On August 24th, 2018, her debut album, There’s a Place for Us, was released under the Deutsche Grammophon/Universal Music labels.🙂

I am afraid Vidal Hernando just usurped the character of Lohengrin as the non plus ultra of...Everything // And at least in this 2006 production-my view is Vidal's fear of losing Luisa's love has as much validity as the Earth losing the moon
A true coloratura
It's fun to see a baritone sing this in a really humorous way with lots of original interpretations, different from what one might usually hear and see!!!
He sings this so easy!
I have written an opera called Donde Esta Mi Sangre. It's a practice opera but it's good. I now write my 3rd to be full length called Gitano
So much prefer this traditional production instead of all the modern ones in everyday clothing. Brava Sierra!!
Nice, but Pavarotti owned this role. However, that doesn't mean I don't love Michael.
Like goes for the bass. Unlike in the Met these days, a true bass and one with a good technique! That’s why we hear him so clearly. The baritone, sadly, is not nearly a match. While this scene requires a truly defiant Don Giovanni…
I bet Verdi never thought that would happen.
SSS DRUM SPRE CASA
This is the kind of stuff that brings me to tears
❤❤❤❤
Poor guy in the middle didn't know which way to turn!! Splendido!!
GO MRS. LEAH
Il bel canto è sempre benvenuto
The voice is powerful, but, although I am not a puritan regarding intonation, I have to say that in the lower and middle voice almost everything is flat. Can very well be that this is less bothering in the auditorium than here on YT.
Congratulations from Italy for this great performance! 🇮🇹 🇺🇸
Exquisite 🥰
Awesome !!!!!!
Its hilarious when non Masons talk about Masonry. Even though they are blind, still a good video. You think if they are such Mozart fans they would want to find out what being a Mason is all about 🤣
I'm not a Mason but I've read the bible, that was my first step into a larger world, but theres no hell, no one believes or they'd scramble to be martyred. I always say, does a christian wear his cross on the chest or the back?
Wonderful young Tenor..a Star he is!
Фи.
No covid times. Beautiful days !
Jouvanca forever
Every performance of her is.amazing!! If in the recording she is this great, she must be out of this world!! Each production is different but I love Orange, France is the ultimate!! More modern interpretation, new type of Calaf‼️ Turandot is more vulnerable but fiercely independent and Calaf does understand her and love her for it. I truly like the costume and simpler setting. Ms. Lindstrom is strikingly beautiful‼️
Magnifico!!!
Maravilhoso muito bom
Fun interview! Great to see Elizabeth again! We were FGO YAPs together (1998-2000, in my case). Lovely to catch up on her journey after all this time. (Jennifer Cooper)
Libiamo nei lieti calici che la bellezza infiora....
😩
This was delightful. It's great to see how Elizabeth has grown as an artist. We met many years ago when she was a struggling young singer trying to make it. I've enjoyed her many times at FGO. Thank you for this program!
I remember when she was just starting out... We're all proud of how far she's come!
Thanks Rafael! Will these be complete operas or only excerpts...….
Thank you Rafael!
Marvin David Levy was a relative (by marriage) that I never got to meet. His brother, Harry, married my cousin.
Well done, Rafael!
PLEASE say we will still be doing FAUST!?!?!?!?!?!?!!
