After the first lockdown was (slightly) lifted in June ‘20 we got up at 3:30 am to go to the east of the Netherlands to sit in a hide by Noctua Nature to watch and photograph little owls gathering mice for their chicks. Worth it!

A taste of what we saw on a birding fly-drive through Costa Rica…

Do the reef walks at Heron Island, Australia! The epaulettes sharks are so cute! And we were also lucky to encounter a - we think - banded bamboo shark. (Don’t be scared, they’re not interested in your ankles…)

Second Sunday dive at ‘t Koepeltje, 4 August 2024. We hadn’t dived here in a few years, and can’t imagine why. Viz was good, lots of crabs, shrimp and lobster, but highlight was en always is the bobtail squid.
