With our dad’s reliable 2001 BobCat 873G Skidsteer (featuring a 72” Brush Cutter, Grapple, Bucket, and Forks) and our brand-new 2022 Kubota Grand L3560 Tractor (equipped with a Bucket, Grapple, Finish Mower, Bush Hog, and Land Scraper), I’m ready to turn big dreams into farm magic - one adventure at a time!

How slick are those tracks on the loading ramps? Im headed to pick up a 863 with steel tracks and borrowing my neighbors new trailer… great neighbor and I don’t want to mess up his ramps
My trailer has mega ramps so plenty of room to load. I have loaded on the trailer with 2 regular size ramps and it worked out. They can be a little slick and just take it easy. If you only have the bucket on the front of the Bobcat, I would suggest you back it on but have someone watch you so you will stay straight on the trailer. My trailer is 14,000# GWT but my previous trailer was 10,000# GWT which was really pushing it.
@@DunbarLandFarms wow, quick reply! Yeah, his is a 14,000 pound trailer. This is a big move in equipment for me. Sold my sub compact tractor (rk24) because everything on the property is going to be clearing and earth moving and way above its ability. Thanks for the backwards loading tip.
@@brightknightreflective1453 Just keep your bucket down close to the ramps which will help stabilize. Be sure to chain down both front and back. If the 863 has a Deutz Oil Cooled Engine, ask him when he change the timing belt as supposed to be change every 3,000 hours or every 5 years. If it breaks, will cause major problems. Does the 863 have high flow, heat and air? By the way, how much did you pay?
@@DunbarLandFarms I’m headed down this weekend to check it over. Price is really good at 12.5k. It does have the deutz and head not sure when it was last changed (the kit is only a couple hundred dollars and looks pretty straight forward to replace) so I figured I’d do it anyway. Not sure if it has the high flow option or not (I know it was optional)…

Yeah, why ARE you. Just take a large pry bar, hammer it through the center, and start twisting it off. Don't waste time being nice to it. Its an old, used filter. It doesn't have to come off all neat and clean, or in one piece. It just needs to come off. Just make sure the old gasket comes off, too, and put some fuel or oil (whichever the filter is filtering) on the new gasket, and for the sake of everything that's good, pure, and holy, DON'T PUT THE NEW ONE ON WITH A WRENCH!! HAND TIGHTEN ONLY!!

Then shove a GOD damned pry bar through it and twist it off. It's an old, used filter, it doesn't have to come off whole.

@@DunbarLandFarms I welded up mine myself, have seen a coup[e of RUclipsrs do the same.
If you are willing to take your time you can get a lot done even with standard flow. I prefer the skid steer to a tractor for the hard to get to areas. My brush cutter if=s a tractor mower I converted.

I think you'll fined those blades have a 1/4" twist down from the center of the blade. So you need to stick a 1/4" round stock under the edge of the blade vice. Also keep the "stick out" from the vice as short as possible. Don't press so hard, let the grind wheel do the work. Best wishes.

With this 2001 Bobcat 873g it holds the pressure even if the machine is off unless you use the pressure relief button.
It’s easy with the machine is off that’s simple as shit
