Addressing Doubts About The Sound of Freedom Movie & A Herb Harvest Adventure
Someone said dog and Stacy's place is TV set for RUclips and a have a house next door a house 100% on grid
Thanks
Thank you so very much!
Can you uses cup 4 cup flour?
I’d try it and see, you may need to adjust the amount
Good stuff
Beautiful
Thank you
Amazing video! I'm grain free and have been cultivating an almond flour starter. I'm gonna try this recipe today. Thanks so much!
Hope you enjoy!
Amazing video! Thank you so much!
You're so welcome!
@@HillsideHomesteading The bread is cooling now. It didn't rise quite as I'd hoped. I think my almond flour sourdough starter isn't quite active enough. I'm going to try your suggestion of feeding it twice per day and see if that helps.
I can’t stand that girl Attitude she thinks she’s so big and bad
Salisha, i fully agree with you. I believe self-sufficiency is an illusion. In our modern times we still depend on retail establishments and mass manufacturing for tools and clothing and all the other items that are necessaties for living and supporting our day to day living.
Right. I think we romanticize the past quite a bit especially in the homesteading community but we are truly blessed to be able to enjoy the fruits of the labour of our fore fathers.
I'm so glad I found you!😊
Welcome!
I used to like watching Doug & Stacy. However, I quit watching them because of all the fear mongering. There's enough bad stuff in the news already! I'm looking to learn about homesteading and honest do-able techniques for healthy living. I found you when I searched for Gluten-Free sourdough starter since actually have been tested & found to have an extreme allergy to gluten - not anything about celiac.
A few months ago, I came on here and defended Doug and Stacy. Well, I’d like to say I was wrong. I recently wanted to see which health gurus they follow on instagram. I looked at their account and was startled to find that they follow a psychic, a tarot reader and a lot of new a g e healers! Deuteronomy 18:10-12- There shall not be found among you any one who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, any one who practices divination, a soothsayer, or a charmer, or a medium, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord… Doug and Stacy claim to follow God.(?)
I’ve done that so many times!
I’m always caught without my egg basket 🧺
What the he'll is this a pat full shittttt 😮😮😊 jk good cooking bro
Omg
I suppose a butcher would have beef fat?
Yes definitely
Great show. Would the first rendering be what some use for skin moisturizer?
Yes first rendering used for skincare and things you don’t want to smell like tallow like cookies or baked goods
Great vid. What are the silver troughs called?
Raised garden beds
Good comments on nutrition but how do you handle the carbs?
I don’t count carbs but you can try some almond flour or coconut flour to reduce carbs
Hi, what’s your gluten free flour mix recipe?
I use a premix or a mix with buckwheat, tapioca and rice flour
I learned something today! Awesome video. Will try this next spring
It’s so easy and you get food! Glad you like it
You guys have nothing better to do!! lol..
2 years ago, nope 🙂↔️
Love that sound😍😍😍😍
Have you looked into freeze drying?
Yes, however freeze dryers are costly and I don’t foresee using it enough to justify the cost
I knew he was a fake the moment I clicked on one of his videos. It was the beard and hat. You just know when the image is just for show. Never clicked again.
With this nails you are a freaking liar and I mpostor misleading people… FAKE, fake, fake!
What a crappers… you are…
The most beautiful homesteader on RUclips ❤
very nice video. just the kind of video i was looking for. thanks for sharing
Glad you liked it
I wear goggles when I have a lot of onions to cut!!
Hahaha good tip
Most of these off-grid & homesteaders are only here to sell goods or ie sell products. Have you noticed people have new tractors and raised garden beds etc but, yet they have NO job.
I gave them a second chance until the most recent livestream where 90% of it was him and his “OMG YA’LL” alarmist rhetoric. She’s having her women’s conference in October and I saw for last year’s conference the admission was almost $500!! I get that they gotta pay for the venue and for her time and yada yada but reallyyy?!? Charging that absurd amount of money when we have record high inflation and people can barely make ends meet is nuts. Plus telling viewers that they’re just helping us out and that they’re not monetized anymore. Sure, they may not be but it’s like ok, then what about Ad revenue? I’d laugh if I get a rebuttal to this comment post by them 😂😂
Had to stop watching. You lost me saying Doug doesn't believe a word he says. Go ahead and heart ❤️ this. Slim Shady!
Then prove that he does
@@HillsideHomesteadingprove? You prove! All hearsay and to say they believe nothing what they teach is false because many of the things are legit.
I hate how homesteading/prepping ect has become so intertwined with politics. I just want us to be focused on building up each other and the land instead of worrying about liberals or conservatives or even religion. Why does the lgbt or drag story hours have anything to do with your homestead? You have too much time on your hands and not enough hands in the dirt if you can sit around ranting and raving about the lgbt community.
Thank you!
You’re welcome
Is it possible to feed it once a week after it is active enough or should I forever feed it once a day?
If you’re not baking bread yes you can feed it once a week and keep it in the fridge
I have a lot of mesh and landscaping pins to protect from that wascilly wabbit that goes after everything and the deer. White moths are a hassle too. I want but reluctant to grow brassicas because they destroy them. By the time I get the bad leaves off cabbage, I have a large golfball sized one.😂 Some things are hard to grow but here no problems with corn finally.
I grown my brassicas in fall now because the pest pressure is too strong in summer
Goals are so important! We have a five year plan on our homestead and did all of the first year except forest pigs so we are just rolling those over to year two. We break out year goals down into monthly goals then locate days on the calendar for accomplishing goals. But goals def keep us focused!
You have a sound plan. Breaking it into smaller goals is smart
❤the journey❤
Thank you
You’re welcome
fabulous, thank you!!
You’re welcome!
Starter proper recipe wanted
This is the starter recipe. There’s a bread recipe too
I saw one of those just chilling on a garden hose. Doing fall cleanup now. Thats the most work with health issues so a bit at a time. Garden is almost done and getting help to clean up the quail shed which protects them before it gets cold. Need to fix quail watering system again. Tried about everything. Even a simple trough system isn't working that well. May try a dog or cat upside down jug system next. It's just I want a system they can't poop in😂. Buckets with pecking works for awhile then have to tear it apart, clean and test it alot. Wish we could keep chickens again. A city next to me just outlawed them now. Though where I grew up with little houses on tiny lots, they still can keep any poultry. I enjoyed chicken sitting when a little girl about 8 when they went out of town.
I have a few fall crops growing in my greenhouse so I have something to look forward too. I’ve never kept quail, how are the eggs? Maybe you will be able to keep a couple hens sometime in the future.
@HillsideHomesteading Quail eggs are just like chicken ones but maybe a little bit denser. Now chicken eggs taste different to me. I've been getting a lot of double yokers. Double the size but I've lost hens with prolapsed vents because of it so hatch out extras. One pound birds and not as tough as chickens. I always lose a few yearly.
I would like to know about any other fake and phony homesteaders. Please, thanks
Love your no 3❤
It’s so important. Thank you!
I’m a newby very confused so I started my starter but when do you put the lid on it because I only have a paper towel covering it like you showed in the other video. It’s been about 6 days doesn’t look very active i can’t feed it twice because I forget in a hurry most mornings I did feed it twice over the weekend.
When you’re starting it you must feed it daily. If you forget you need to discard half and feed it twice a day until it’s nice and active. If you can’t feed it or just made bread, feed it and keep it in the fridge.

Oh no! That's my middle name😂😂😂
Weird take
😄
There's truth here. I garden in ground. I had 10 watermelon and 10 canteloupe on the front lawn with no till and nobwatering. Pretty sure if they knew how to do that they'd show us.
Absolutely
