If you look above where the dome lights are, there's touch buttons to shift into gear if the screen is messed up.

If you manage to somehow break your screen, you have more worries than that.

3rd rows are generally intended for small children and kids. You could fit for a night out with friends, but long trips for an adult in the 3rd row aren't recommended.

As a general rule of thumb, we would recommend not being in any vehicle that flips, catches on fire, drives off a bridge, or wrecks. That being said, Teslas have kill switches that disengage power to the high voltage system in the event of an accident where the vehicle senses a power surge. In the early days, this kill switch was powered by a small watch battery that you had to replace every 6-8 years and due to people not replacing those, that could lead to fires in a rare instance of a high voltage surge. However, most Teslas made in 2016 or newer switched to a modern kill switch essentially that stays recharged with the HV battery, so you don't have to worry about that issue anymore. The Model X having an excellent center of gravity also is one of the least likely cars to flip and one of the safest SUVs in general made in the history of the planet. **Farts are another story, especially if you have Tesla's Bioweapon Defense Mode on keeping the air from outside sealed off.
