@@szyl got plenty of ram. I can't run a game and shaderglass in fullscreen at the same time, I start the game and then shaderglass but when I alt+tab into the game it doesn't have the shader fx on it.

@@EduFirenze shaderglass should run above it that's weird, what game is it out of curiosity? i've only really ever used it with emulators.

Sorry to repeat myself I just haven't had any issues with it myself so I'm trying to figure out what might be going wrong.

lunar and badlion are both closed source, how are they safer than prism? lol second part can be accomplished by just downloading a modpack, but I like being able to pick the specific mods I want to install.

@ the mods hosted on there are used by millions (including me), but are there stats out there on client usage? not sure if it's even remotely as high as mod downloads.

ATLauncher packs are available in prism directly. definitely seems like a solid launcher option itself, but Prism just does more and works similarly now (ATLauncher USED to be way better a few years back).

does apple2 run on windows? pretty sure this is windows only.

@@barribon emudeck windows had dolphin out of date, but I also made this a few months back forgot exactly what other emulators were also out of date. On windows it's much harder to update some emulators cuz they don't check for updates on their own. Also no need for SRM if you got the nice retrobat UI as a replacement lol.

@@szyl thats a fair point and retrobats ui is fairly user friendly but every emulator installed with emudeck auto updates, including dolphin so thats kind of odd

@@barribon do they auto-update on windows? on linux I 100% agree with you, loved using it on my steam deck for that reason, but the windows version still has tons of issues (including the lack of switch emulation)

​@szyl sorry in advance for the lenghty reply but, emudeck itself checks for updates every few launches and every emulator in active development auto updates or checks for updates as far as i know (with the exception of retroarch) and emudeck doesnt install switch emulators anymore for legal reasons, this is true for pretty much any installer and if retrobat installs anything remotely related to switch emulation then the developers at risk of a C&D from nintendo, you can install them yourself and use emudeck features with them such as auto configs and SRM it just wont install them for you since the download links for yuzu/ryujinx are literally down. emudeck on windows is pretty much on par with the linux version, the only thing ive tried that doesnt work is the compressor but theres better ways to compress roms anyway. im pretty sure emudeck installs the emulators directly from their respective websites so its highly unlikely theyll install outdated but if youre unsure you can always click update/reinstall on an emulator and itll re install the latest release whilst keeping your config in tact
