@@ttblade because more and more matches are getting added to the calendar every year, and there isn't enough time for players go recover fully between games. Players are almost never 100% fit, there's a reason most retire in their mid 30s.

@@Strontkipje the Copper itself wouldn't matter unless your diagnosed with Copper deficiency which usually happens with taking zinc long term without Copper as I did and I had Copper deficiency...I took a Copper Gluconate from the health store at a 2 mg dose..I also have another supplement which I use regularly as it has a perfect ratio of 2 mg Copper with 15 mg Zinc , its called " Skin Nails & Hair " . The supplement is excellent and worth buying for the Zinc / Copper ratio...

@@Strontkipje My Iron issue was caused by Zinc intake...when Zinc is taken on a regular basis it lowers Copper and Copper regulates Iron production, red blood cells, haemoglobin etc ..Zinc and Copper must always be balanced so its best to take a balanced mineral formula.

You should check for C Reactive Proteins, a marker of inflammation in the liver. Hepcidin's purpose is to impede the use of iron since your body thinks it's under attack, during genuine sickness, not only is your own body after iron but so are pathogens. But when it's from inflammation, such as the consumption of dairy for some, ferritin (the protein which stores iron) will show up elevated in blood work. But if there are no C Reactive Proteins then there's no inflammation.
