I’ve been searching for this advert as the young man in it is my son, Andy. He was a technician who worked for Jaguar and was showing the actor and crew how to do things properly. They decided he was photogenic and asked him to just do his thing while they filmed. Only part that they changed was the hand shots because he’d got a black thumb nail from an accident a couple of weeks earlier. He’s about to turn 30 now so wanted to remind him of his few seconds of fame. 😀

Land Rover's least reliable period - from 1989 to 2001 was, in the most part, when BMW owned them. Land Rover's most reliable period was in 2016. Those are not my opinions, those are facts. Thank you for your feedback.
Saying 2016 is their most reliable year still doesn't make them reliable! Just more reliable than they used to be.
Discovery 4, for example, is one of the most reliable cars which is why they command such high second hand values. The Range Rover Sport, although suffering from software glitches / problems at launch, is one of the most reliable cars. All manufacturers now, pretty much, have a 87-89% reliability rate. Notable exception is Lexus, which runs at about 91%. That means, ultimately, if you buy a Porsche, a Jaguar, a Mercedes or more mass produced cars such as Kia, BMW, Ford and Vauxhall, there is 1 in 9 chance of some issue. Land Rover used to be around 1 in 4. But yes, the best is Lexus, currently 1 in 11. AT the end of the day, software is still the issue that cars suffer from as tech and spec gets ever more complicated. Simple parallel is mobile phones. And millions know just how reliable and stable the software is on them.
This car looks nice, but is not practical. There is no leg space at either the back or the front and the head space at the back is too low. This car is no competition for the Porsche macan . By the time you add the extras on, you might as well go for the Range Rover sport. Good try Land Rover, but not a winner
