I'm waiting to try it , watching well seasoned players being takin out so early in the play through i wont last a minute lol .

aw I was thinking he might make it for the long haul. I think you ought to bring back Jana xD Then I can die in about 2 seconds yesss lol The game was hard enough before... now I am just scared to try. Ah well. I like watching other people play too.

Here's a few things I've noticed with my current character. I'm not getting any carpentry experience breaking apart furniture or metal working experience while using a welding torch to dismantle metal stuff. I guess it's just building stuff that give you XP now? It seems extra important to catch those Life and Living carpentry shows now and only watch the training VHS tapes after reading the appropriate skill books. Aiming seems to be potentially a tiny bit easier to level up with pistols since it's more skill now with the aiming reticle. As a test, I was able to kill about 30 zomboys with the pistol, mags and ammo I started with, making sure to aim the reticle at the heads. Sheet metal snippers can be used to cut open cans of food in place of can openers. I was hoping they could cut through wire fences but it doesn't seem to work. Maybe a different tool would work? Dismantling watches and walkie talkies doesn't seem to work with just a screwdriver anymore as I don't have that option. Maybe a different tool is needed? It probably doesn't give you XP anyway. I haven't done any mechanic stuff yet. Bags of chicken nuggets are an amazing travel food. Open a bag, cook them, and you get four servings that are light and remove a good amount of hunger. Maybe those were there before and I never noticed them.

Low fences can be really nice to abuse, especially in this build, (still pretty daunting fighting more than one of them even with it now that they made combat a lot weaker). I personally hug the fence as close as I can and wait for the zombies to climb over and hit them over the back of the head but you do have to be careful with doing that too if you have the lunge setting on, cause if you're standing too far forward they'll knock you over. Not to mention too many at once makes it dangerous but for me personally it makes taking on 2 or even 3 of them less fatiguing. Kinda makes me wonder if they'll eventually make it so if you're standing in the way when zombies try to climb over a fence, I hope not but only time will tell. You can even mix in stomping on them after they flop over the fence to save fatigue on your arms, though I would personally swing down once on them once they crawl over the fence so that way they get stunned, and then stomp on them. Stomping on them seems a bit fickle while they're still flopping over the fence and onto the ground and swinging down first with your weapon seems safer to stun lock them. And of course things like boots make your stomps stronger versus just regular shoes unless you're more keen on sneaking around instead.

Man, this was a good run. I think my longest so far has been 3 days. I love melee combat, but b42 makes melee combat much harder. I'm going to be forced into using guns with this build. Also, I will never take smoker again. It is pure torture in this build. I found a sledgehammer before a I found a sustainable supply of cigs. I can't wait to see your next run. Hopefully maybe you can start in the new span location and explore one of the new cities? Love the content

Same thing happened to me. I love the new combat changes though.

R.I.P Johnson Bachman. 4 has been my number on build 42.4th character.4 days 10 hours I found 2 smokes on a end table and 3 packs on a Kitchen table!! I stopped taking smoker on my second and third character. So on my 4th i decided to torture myself. So i took smoker again. Ill probably die now lol. I still haven't found a real weapon yet but i did find 8 screw drivers on 1 zed.

i unfortunately run into many bugs which forced me back to 41. one of them was game breaking where i couldn't transfer inventory another was my installed sink was working fine then suddenly stopped being available it was such a shame too, i was a month into a run and had built up a few skills and my base was taking shape. i'll wait a bit longer till they iron out the bugs

some stores did not sell smokes in 1993 haha just told you lol

I don't think I like Smoker as a trait in B42. Especially if you have loot at rare.

Tough break. The melee combat is much harder now evidently. People often overlook the 3 most important things: 1. The car is your armor suit. 2. You can roll down the window and shoot. 3. Put the dot on the target when you shoot. Don't hit them with the car. Use a small car. Better acceleration and turning.

What makes this build awesome is you can pet animals, hunt, and farm them for materials and food and also the new regions to explore and loot.

I actually really like the heightened difficulty. It was almost no effort to reach 10k zombie kills and clear entire towns in B41. Now, like you said, moodles and strategy matter. It'll be interesting if the devs walk back the changes based on all of the negative feedback but I hope if they do they keep the option to keep it the way it is.

With the default settings zombies now have random hearing and sight so some have pinpoint hearing or sight and others are normal, now when you fight, the zeds hear it so any with heightened senses will find you fast. also the zombie strength is random now too so some are tougher to kill. hiding is absolutely more necessary but you can lose them if your smart, hide behind fences or cars to break line of sight and move away slowly, got to be a lot more meticulous now. Wallets also now have chance to spawn items inside, like keys and bottle openers. that and darkness is always dark now even without pitchblack setting on normal its impossible to see outside at night with no light sources. im loving it so far

B42 is hard man, even on normal pop, you cant fight, you cant run, they come after you, man. I'M LOVING THIS!!!!!

I got the feeling they made the game a little.. harsh. Harsher than normal. I mean, build 41 feels like easy mode now. But build 41 absolutely wasnt "easy" 😂

I'm in that cortman medial area right now, I got a house alarm way down south at the trailers near the southern storage and even back up here they are getting attracted to it, they're wandering on down through to my street. 7:30 see that crate? You can just pick them up now,. no tools nor penalties. Also before that dang alarm, I finally found a yellow generator, I had to bail on it because you drop it when entering a car now and even better, you don't need the book, you can get it going with electrical 3 skill. Oh, I also petted a mouse. lol.

I miss just right clicking on ham and going slice ham. Now I gotta go into the crafting menu, search ham then with the steak knife and ham in my inventory to slice the dang ham!

I spent hours and hours just driving around checking out the new look, at night theres some real cool lighting going on.

I gave up choosing the smoker trait because of the constant drama of trying to find smokes all the time.

You had me rolling in this and the last video!! Comics books seems to help with not smoking. It never made the nooblet go away but it seemed to stop it from getting to where my character hands where shaking.

when you remove window covers/curtains, you can turn the sheet into a sling and use it for backpack-like storage to help a little with the encumbrance.

MUSCLE STRAIN is based on your Weapon skill, not Fitness/Strength... But even at Higher skills, you can still get them.

you are forgetting you had the more traits mod, that's why you dont have that many traits 😆 and B42 is looking awesome! you gotta pay attention to those muscles now, you get tired really fast. no more fighting 50 zombies now 😆

The first thing predz said in his video was grab a sheet and make a bag. It'll be the best thing you do. And he was right.

My first death in B42 wasn't to a zombie. It wasn't from a car crash. It wasn't from me falling off a building. It wasn't from me accidentally poisoning myself. A rooster killed me. A friggin' rooster! It scratched me, I didn't have a bandage, tried to tear up my socks to make a bandage but it wouldn't let me and I bled out. 10/10 update.
