This is the Menominee Michigan North Pier Lighthouse. It is where the Menominee River empties into the Green Bay. A few years back the water levels rose so much that it tore out light polls and benches in the area shown in this video. You can see the remains of piping and other rebar in the video, which is located at the start of your walk to the lighthouse. The walk to the lighthouse is safe and quite beautiful on less windy days. On this windy day I was unable to walk to the lighthouse because the waves/water splashing onto the walk way. #bluejays #FeedingBirds I have been feeding the blue jays this way for years. It started off feeding the squirrels. Then the birds caught on and started taking the peanuts. On this day I noticed the blue jays picking the largest peanut while one blue jay packed a peanut in his throat so he could take a second one. I was amazed by their intelligence. This time I decided to catch one on thin card with out touching it, then release the moth back out into nature. I enjoyed watching him get a drink from my water barrel and and then fly away to freedom :) Hope you enjoy. Thank you much for watching :-)

I was part of a team sent there in 92 to de-arm the f-111 for static display It was the middle of winter, glad they gave us a hanger to work in.

I was stationed here on a tdy(temporary duty assignment) in 1976, the first time this Florida boy ever saw snow and BOY did I see it. We referred to it as K.I. Siberia, frigging cold !!!

The city comes weekly to pick up trash. So much comes up almost daily with the waves. It is a constant battle on this beach sad to say. Thanks much for watching !
@@yoopergirlsadventures453 trash can be dangerous for the wildlife. Anything that's a ring of some sort, sharp (fishing lures, metal, syringes, etc), bags, straws, etc, etc, etc we pick up before it causes harm. It's nice your city does that though.

The buffalo have been gone for years now. Same with the bear and then the deer went last. Just a few deer running loose, ducks, geese and seagulls now !
