I've been playing for a couple of years now. I highly recommend Lotro to anyone who loves playing mmorpgs because, in my opinion, it's the best one on the market. Unlike most mmorpgs, Lotro is all about the journey where as most other mmos are about the destination (end game).

So true. I gave up on Everquest after over two decades of addiction thanks to Lotro. I think the one thing about Lotro that many people miss when coming from other MMOs is that in Lotro, you really do NOT want to fast track to the end game. There is so much amazing content from level one up to max. Racing to max level does nothing in Lotro other than denying the player the enjoyment of experiencing all that great content. The journey IS the game when it comes to Lotro.

Lotro is very solo friendly. Any class can solo all of the overland content. Some obviously do it easier than others, but all can do it.

You can play whole game solo and you won't feel any unpleasantness. I played LOTRO for many years, started 2 years after launch and ended when max lvl was 85 and I had 83, whole game solo. KIN only for raids and fun. It's very pleasant game especially for long winter evenings when it's cold outside. Damn nostalgia hits hard :')

@@wifoutteef I played Hunter class. But yes, you can easily play all classes but classes which has range attack like Hunter can easily kill enemy before they reach you.

It's a mmorpg, so it's going to play similarly to wow just as any mmorpg will. The game is highly story based and the stories are really good making a lot of the quest dialogs worth reading, so it differs from wow in that sense. Also, all of the classes are unique and play differently, whereas wow has normalized a lot of there classes to basically do the same thing with the abilities just named differently per class. So, yes and no.

@@strengthwarlock its free to play and its mainly pve based. furthest thing you can get from pay to win, youre not paying to win anything. its been out for 16 years lmao everything youve thought to do in the game has been done. theres no pay to win mechanic, its pay for convenience and extra enjoyment out of your game.

Depend, I mean give it a try. It's for yourself so you're the only one to trust 100%. I don't know much the game but what've hearded It's free and there is not so much P2W. I tried with my girlfiend and we didn't like it tbh but at least we tried

Lord of the Rings online is definitely worth trying. I love it personally.

I've played wow and I've played Star Wars the old republic, Rift, RuneScape and a couple others and Lotro is by far the best MMO I've ever played in my opinion. Check it out you won't regret it.

There are two ghosts in unrest. One on the main floor and one in the basement. They look the same basically.

There's many things they could do to ease the burden on keeping up with the flow of the server. Unfortunately, there's enough people out there who throw a fit about any kind of faster leveling in EQ that the powers to be don't make those changes. I get why people are opposed to faster leveling in EQ because I've played the game for over two decades, and I remember how the game used to be. But, the reality is that EQ has changed drastically over the decades and isn't that same game it was back in 2000. It's time to stop treating the leveling of the game as if it's still 1999. There's a ton of quality of life additions they've made over the past two decades that don't fit the 1999/2000 era of the game. It's time to bring the leveling curve up to date, in my opinion.
