Managing non-vine vegetation in and around the vineyard to deliver production benefits Today we grow 20 hectares of grapes and make and bottle all our wine on site. We also grow and process about 10 hectares of olives, and about a hectare of figs, about 5 hectares would be replanted native trees, gardens and accessways. The different crops are in 1 to 8 hectare blocks and are quite mixed up wit...

    Hi Sam...is this helping you in farm. Is there increase in yield??

    will it work if I use an pump to aerate the preparation instead of stir it creating a vortex ???

    • @samatrosnay
      @samatrosnay 3 года назад

      Hi Shaman, simple aeration would oxygenate the brew and help the microbes get activated, for sure. The vortex (either via stirring or via a flowform) does more than that, but I would suggest you try both: a bucket which you stir, and a bucket which you aerate, and let me know how you go!

    Can you tell me .Why sprey this fertilazer at night? (after sundown)

    • @samatrosnay
      @samatrosnay 7 лет назад

      Isuru, the main thing is to just do it, but the idea is to spray late, after 5pm, as microbes dont like to be cooked in the full sun. After rain, or before a heavy dew is also good. just to antagonise my troll fans I'll also say that in biodynamic thinking, the land is "breathing in" at night. This concept links with lunar rhythms and there's lots of books out there which explain this non-conventional of thinking well if you are interested and open minded to it.

    Organic and Biodynamic are 2 of the worlds biggest farces. Organic food is NOT healthier, look at the FSA website if you do not belive me. And another thing, how come most organic food hase coriander in it? Coriander tastes like soap. There is no real scientific data to prove either biodynamic or organic are in any way supirior AT ALL. Show me the scientific indipendent research that proves it!!!!

    Oh come the hell on. You're Australian. You had a free education. There's NO excuse for believing this stupid shit, you should know better. Thank you for bringing disgrace on my country by being the only Australian idiotic enough to fall for what is OBVIOUS bullshit. I've been offering $500,000 for the last six years to ANYONE operating this patently absurd scam for any evidence of ANY benefit to this crud and have heard nothing but crickets from it's founders. You've fallen for snake oil mate, wake the hell up!

      Thank you, Biodynamic and organic farming are BULL SHIT. I used to go to an organic college called the glass house and their food was AWFULL!!! As a matter of fact organic food is the WORST food I have ever tried by a very long way. The FSA and other orgonisations have studies to prove that organic is no better. Yet all I get for it is abuse and hate mail. Biodynamic is a big pile of tosh. There is nothing wrong with conventional or GM farming. My mum calls me chemical andy becouse of all the fertilisers, fugicides and pesticides I use and I'm not dead yet! Organic is also very snobby and people who tend to buy organic food can be VERY smug and patronising. Theu are stuck up and extreamly pompus. I have not bought anything organic for almost 10 years, no since leaving that horrible nasty college. I REFUSE to buy organic produce and I would rather go without.

    how do you clean out the inside of a horn?? I have 4 water buffalo horn and i'd like to hollow them out but idk how to go about it

    • @samatrosnay
      @samatrosnay 9 лет назад

      Victor Yang Hi Victor, I am not sure, we bought our horns from the biodynamic association and they were already hollow. I think they biodegrade into a hollow shape but you may be able to speed the process by putting the buffalo horns on an ants nest or in a worm farm?

    Well as you said, oxygenating the solution helps grow the bacteria. I took a tour of a water treatment plant once and they use the same sort of process to clean the water, although they use pumps and stirring devices instead of using gravity and vorteces. Who came up with that, by the way? Ideally I think you'd use gravity and a drip system to irrigate rather than the truck and sprayer (although it certainly gets the job down).

    • @emmanuelgoldstein1089

      No. He thinks that the vortexes give water magic power. Biodynamics is this whacky ridiculous snake oil that involves packing bullshit into overpriced cow horns, or making poo shaped sausages out of camomile in cow guts, and other ridiculous things - then burying it for a year, then digging it up and mixing it in water with a 'vortex' when the moon is in Uranus or some specific astrological BS all to 'imprint' on the 'memory' that water has to somehow mystically amplify the bullshit. It also involves burning bugs alive, then sprinkling the ashes on your field to tell that species they 'aren't welcome' on your farm. I'm not even joking. This is the ridiculous stupidity these crackpots believe. This is a cult, a multi level marketing cult no less.
