    Well, I dug out my 1991 and a set of seat from my 1995 thunderbird Super coupe.... Both of mine have a spring on just other outer hinge latching system. When I say outer, I mean, outer hinge, closest to the doors. As the inner hinge is just a pivot with no mechanical latching .. there is a tension spring that hooks on to the cylinder/tube of the upper side of the hinge and the other end of the spring connects to the lower end of the hinge on the pin the slides in the arch slot. Now, the pin doesn't appear to be on yours, let alone the spring. Or at least it is difficult to see in the video... Soon as I pulled the spring off (shot across the room) my hinge flops around too.. Type in to Google search box, "1990 thunderbolt seat hinge" ... Then click the tab "images".... You will see a few photos of your hinges with springs and a couple with out... I hope that helps point you in the right direction, boss.... That was fun.... Any other challenges for me? On a side note, what are the odds, that your video came through on my recommended list, beings I used to drag race Ford Thunderbirds, 1983-86's, and then 1987-88's, then 1990-97's... That some oddity of a part, I could reference to my stick pile of junk, and visually confirm an actual 1990 hinge out of a Thunderbird? Strange how weird life can be some times... Good luck, any further questions, I will do my best to accept the challenge of answering it/them. While it is important to note, none of this is meant to insult your own intelligence or life experiences and abilities, but rather, I choose to live by the notions, that sometimes, when person is just too close to a project, it often times helps to bring in fresh eyes and hands to give a new perspective.. at least, I know it helps me allot, and the older I get, seems the more often I need outside eyes looking in to help pull my own head out of my a$$, so I can see straight.. lol... Sucks getting old.. again, any further questions, ask..

    I believe that does lock up, durong collisions, or throws of inertia... Manually or physically hold it in the hand, in the proper up-right position as it would be mounted in the vehicle, and move it forwards into the edge of a workbench or something that doesn't move, and i think, you will discover that the seat backrest at that sudden moment of stoppage, thst the backrest doesn't continue to keep moving or pivoting forward other then the minor slack in the system... That fee inches of travel, is designed into thst seat, to allow for visual access to locate the lever, that is politely hidden by the B-pilar and seat belt hanging if thst was the year, over-shoulder seat belts were issued? But it allows the driver & passenger to tip the seat forwards enough, to not only see the tilt lever, and also, gain better access to it with the hand, otherwise, it is stuffed out of sight and hard to reach for it, until you know it is there .. please feel free to correct ke if i am wrong, as i do not know the year make and model... These kinda look like they are out of a Buick or Pontiac and possibly a Cadillac that had the decanting tilt and lean or the decanting tilt and sway front seats, thst when tilted forwards, to gain access to the back seat area, the back rests of the whole seat as an assembly, not only tilted forwards towards the steering wheel, but also leans or pivoted towards the center of the vehicle, due to the pivot points being at different lications, still on axis to each other, but a few degrees twisted off axis, which allowed more room or access to the rear seating area of the 2 door models, which often times had doors thst were very heavy and long, often times, exceeding 5 feet long. That made getting in and out of the front seats wonderfully easy but on a two door model, they still had rear passenger slots, more squeeze-in room was needed, and thise few extra degrees of the backrest pivoting forwards abd towards the center line of the vehicle, made the worlds of difference.. i am curious to fibding out what you come up with, as per, the factual reasoning behind your question(s). I look forward to learning about this.

      I understand what you are saying and if that is the case, one would think the passenger seat would do the same. The passenger seat does not move period until the release is activated.

    I need a better brush. My brush that is similar to that does absolute zilch for my yorkie, I have to use a slicker which I know can hurt and is not good for yorkie hair. He has super thin skin and hair in certain places. He does not get too matted but he gets little knots in places like his belly and armpits and he hates me brushing them. I also need to teach him to lie down like that while I'm brushing him, he's usually fine getting on his belly but he's very resistant to do it while brushing him and I don't want to force it as he already dislikes brushing but will put up with it mostly. I'm new to small dogs and long haired dogs so it's a learning curve for me right now, he has short hair at the moment but longer on the beard and legs

    • @reginascraftingandmore713
      @reginascraftingandmore713 6 месяцев назад

      You might try shaving or scissoring the hair off from his armpits - that's what I do - It helps so much. Mine wont lay still if I use the steel bristles on them - the brush end is much better. Keep trying...patience.

    • @somebodyyoudontknow3980
      @somebodyyoudontknow3980 6 месяцев назад

      @@reginascraftingandmore713 thank you, I have been able to get him to lay on his back while I brush his belly with my soft brush, it doesn't do much but it's just to get him used to it while keeping it as pleasant as possible. I do sometimes get scissors to the knots but he's already got quite a short coat so I try to only do that if I have to. I definitely need to find a good bristle brush like that though, just not sure what to particularly look for

    Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have searched online and through youtube for a guide to trimming my Yorkie's hair. I zoomed in on pictures, I looked up definitions of grooming jargon, and I was frustrated! Finally! A real dog owner who could show exactly - and I mean EXACTLY HOW you cut your puppy's hair. It allows me to take that info and "translate" the professional groomers' instructions. I could never figure out which corner of the eye, the inner or outer, to start the part for my puppies hair. You actually show that angle! And where in the world does the ear begin and end and how to shave up to leave the top knot? You made sense if it all. If you are a dog owner and want to save money, watch all 6 parts of these instructional down-to-earth videos. My frightened rescue puppy and I are immensely grateful!!!

      I am assuming you mean you shave them when people dont want to pay the dematting costs, because it's time consuming to de-mat a dog. That's to be expected. That's why they should brush them... However if they have just a few I would think you would brush them out - It doesnt take THAT long. Maybe you should watch the entire video before accusing me of lying.

    My Yorkie HATES the metal toothed brush like you are using, and I know it hurts him. I refuse to comb him with anything metal. Also, refuse to take him to groomer because they shaved him and made him look like a darn lion. I wish you’d get that long hair out of this sweet girl’s eyes. It has to be bothersome to her. Oh my!

      Thanks for your comment. I DO NOT use the metal prongs and I mentioned that in my video - The last thing I do is brush the hair on her head and put her hair in a ponytail band.

      I didn’t mean to offend you by my comment. I noticed how your sweet little girl jumped when you used the metal part of the brush to detangle a few spots at her rear end. Mine does the same thing and even snaps at the brush. I only use the softer side now and just trim out the mats that I can’t comb out. Mine is not nearly as calm as yours. He hates EVERYTHING about bathing and grooming, but we try to brush him daily to keep the mats from getting so bad, and we use the clippers too to keep him trimmed neatly. You took lots more time than most groomers I’ve watched. Love that sweet girl!

      I hate to WASTE stabilizer - I do a LOT of embroidering and it can get expensive. - So I save and "sewing together to re-use"

      I dont want my babies shaved down. I use to show cocker spaniels with LOTS of coat and this is what I was taught - You'd be surprised at how quickly coats get matted and this doesnt take much time to get them brushed out. Thanks for watching.
