MTA Bus: 2009 Orion VII Hybrid NGs #4626 & #4520

These two NGs came seconds behind after NG #4344 turned off from Linden Blvd. This was a lucky catch.
Note: Even though the 2023 LFS order has been completed for Baisley Park Depot (46) the depot still holds around 8 Orion NGs but a couple of them shared with College Point Depot.
These two NGs were on their way to College Point Depot.

Taken on 11/22/2024 2023 Novabus LFS #9032 is also seen here as Not In Service Note: JFK/FR has 19 Orions VII NGs left at their roster. The 2023 Novabus LFS order for JFK/FR depots is almost complete. Just 7 more to go for a total of 177 LFSs. #4344 is heading back to JFK Depot after completing a Q60 run.

Taken on 6/27/2024 before shutdown. Couldn't get on because it was packed. Had to wait for the next one. I like seeing 5 car trains on the (G), but it would be good if they use longer trains. I think we may get 8 car R179 trains in the future on the (G) line since people keep saying the (C) line will expand from 8 to 10 car trains and possibly expand the 207st yard facility. It would make sense...

I saw that bus as route 31 at Chancery Street recently in terrible condition.

I saw one (probably the same unit) on the same route in the transportation center a few months ago, I have no idea how frequently they roll this one out considering how rare of a sight it is, but I suppose they are doing whatever they can to extend the usefulness of their ageing fleet until sufficient replacements are procured. Good catch!
