Striped the gear lever like you afer watching ya video. Seems like its working. But i won't know properly till a test drive as its raining and really don't want to be stuck somewhere getting wet. Thanks for the video.
Once you've done this how do you get the actual mirror switch unit out of the surround??? I've popped the switch upwards by squeezing the 2 metal retainer clips but then it just wobbles around in the surround and can't get it to manoeuvre out? Please help!!
@@evocraig2062 sorry, I can't remember having an issue like this. If you are replacing the switch, then maybe start breaking the old one up with a big pair of pliers or something. Sorry.
Just used this video and managed to replace my broken switch. Thank you for highlighting where the catches are. I used a very small screwdriver to push the plastic apart and then pulled out so the catches popped and released.
@@sokratiskotakidis8207 as per my video, there are small tabs on the unit. If you can push at least one of these in, then try and lever upwards. Not easy. Good luck!
The replacement adjuster was bought from Aliexpress for £15. Not a great vid - acknowledged - but hopefully gives a hint, at least, of how this housing pops off. Quite a bit of fannying about also required to remove and replace the new adjuster...
Had an issue with going down from 4th where she just wouldn’t engage 3rd. Eventually she would kick down but frustrated as I couldn’t trust her to kick down if I really needed to get out of trouble for whatever reason. Saw this video and thought I’d have a go. Firstly I soaked all parts in WD as thinking about the bike, she hadn’t really been used much in the 7 years before I bought her. Amazingly, I haven’t had to go any further, it did the trick. Gearbox is a pleasure and selection a dream. I will be overhauling her over the winter but it’s nice to know she just needs tlc and no major work
Impressive beaches there. Nice to see everyone on the beach following the 200m social distancing rule with each other 😅 Wish you could have been able to record it in 4k 60Hz.
This vid seemed to 'flicker' in parts (mainly the rocks) on my TV. Not sure it's my TV, or my learning curve for video editing🤔 (and there was a 4k option on the drone, but has challenges, processing / viewing 4k)
Hi, I am definitely not an expert! Why not start with the Lever, and pivot sleeve and bolt (as in the vid). After that, you would maybe be best googling some forums/Facebook groups such as HONDA CBR 1000F is a good one (Anders Westman = top bloke). Good luck!
Exact same problem, just fitted it now but must've bought an EU/left hand drive switch as the only way it would fit was upside down like yours is
Me ajudou muito! Bem ruim de trocar.

Have you removed the electric plug from the switch?
@Gaz D Yes but can't get the switch out of the surround. Does the switch have to be split into 2 parts?

Lol you are from Norn Iron
Lol didn't expect a Belfast accent when looking for ways to fix this issue 😂

i have the same issue. i cannot remove the plastic...
Get a sharp (preferably plastic) knife / something, get below it and force it UP. I used some plastic tools I had for fixing iPhone screens..
