Just purchased the fray savage db rack myself. Did someone help you assemble it? I have to do that this weekend. Thanks for giving a tour of your gym! You have a really nice set up with some good equipment!
@@GarageGym_Brandon-td5pe Nice score! I did it myself. It is a bit unwieldy getting the shelving in place so if you have someone to help I recommend it haha. Best advice I can give though is assemble it in the exact location you went it to stay because it is very very heavy. Best of luck!!
I was abouit to say it was a gorgeous gym, then I saw the Eagles helmet... 🤮 All jokes aside, I just updgraded to an RM6, couldn't be happier. Nice work, bro.
Yeah! Fantastic personalized home gym. I always love observing a gym that suits the owners' needs, fits within the owners' budget, and demonstrates the kid-like excitement about home gym creation. Kudos bro!
Ive gone back and forth on getting one to be honest. I used to have a power tower but just found myself not incorporating a lot of dips into my training. But I never say never haha
They are absolutely on the list down the road. I have inly ever done straight bar work before getting this rep neutral grip. Now that I have more time on them I definitely want to work more angles.
I want to upgrade to this from my Ironmaster lat tower+ seat. Problem is, I'd be losing the ability to do standing cable curls. I can also hook my preacher pad up to my lat tower and do preacher cable curls.
This is the only review on youtube about this Fray Fitness lat pulldown. This is the best lat machine for the lowest price that is on the market and there is 1 review. I appreciate the review but the monotone was not the best and there was not much info on the specs in the video but at least thr guy showed us pics and did a review. This is the BEST VALUE LAT MACHINE I've seen anywhere and Titan had gone up to $1870. They are pulling a price gouge just like Rogue does.
Lol sorry about the monotone. I just picked up my pbone and decided to do a “review” in one take. I am just a regular dude, hardly a youtube pro. Just tried to show everyone the piece which is the star of the show.
I did not try to offend just offer a little constructive criticism so U would have some feedback from your viewers U did way better than I could and had THE ONLY video on this item I've seen and I enjoyed the video and I like the equipment Take Care Man
Sorry for the delayed reply. 2 main reasons. I got this with a 20% discount during a sale they were running so it was a couple hundred less than Titan. Also, i was very attracted to the 1” holes on the uprights all the way up as opposed to titan’s lack there of.
@@andrewelliott4107This is still running well for you? I pulled the trigger on their new rack/functional trainer unit... Also went out on a limb, not knowing much about Fray. I'm a litter nervous I made a bad decision, but time will tell there.
@@yayay9461 I did. It's the full savage series power rack functional trainer combo. I haven't heavily used it, but use it weekly at a minimum. It's been a good product for the price point. I did have some issues out of the gate. The package showed up destroyed from shipping. Fray made it right. The cables were too short once assembled. I added a longer chain on both sides to resolve this as they didn't have a great solution. A little frustrating. The roller bearings are cheaper and half of them were sticky. They made it right. I also have one side that hits as shown in this video when it has 10lbs. I don't use 10lbs so it doesn't affect me much. Overall, it's heavy and works. I wish quality was better, but then again it's not priced like a commercial or even Rep solution, so I don't expect much.
I'm 6'4 as well and I have the Titan (exact same product) - depends on the grips. MAG Grips are generally fine, Prime Fitness Grips are a little too long so the pull length is too short.
Sorry. I just saw this question. I honestly just let them sit on the stall mat. I very carefully slid each plate on making sure not to tip it over at all. Once I got them all on, I just screwed the rods in from the top.
It has been nothing short of fantastic. I have had multiple people of various heights/strengths on it every week and everyone has had positive feedback.

I'm really considering their savage rack functional trainer combo unit
Beautiful gym sir. I would love to have the same thing.

How has that thing been holding up ?
Great video, I have just finished my own home garage gym, check it out, I'd love to know what you think.

Anyway you can give out the dimensions?
Awesome gym man!
The N64 is the best part
buy once cry once
Love the N64 lol. I think it counts as workout equipment for the fingers.
I was waiting to see a fork someone dropped and you just noticed it during filming trying to explain how it works in your gym 😂, Thanks for sharing
Train station…love it! Also, a garage gym is never complete 😎
I think it’s so dope that you named your gym after a core memory with your kids
Got a link to that clock/timer?
Children come up with the best names for things
Love the fact you spent big and got what you wanted. As they say buy once and you’ll be happy.🎉
What was the Strength Co black friday sale? I am thinking of getting some new plates because I have rubber ones at the moment. Thanks for the video
fly eagles fly. NIce setup.
Super home gym, bravo! From France .
Hell yeah bro! Looks amazing!
Really nice setup, Andrew. I have never seen a fireplace in garage gym , but it awesome.
Haha thanks. It throws enough heat to keep the bay comfortable when the outside air is above 40ish.
💪🏼🔥
Dont see a lot of fray equipment in the wild. 💪
Nice set up! Love the red rack
Stop. 🤣
@@Eccles_basement_gym too slow ice 🧊
You can't argue with him. The name makes sense.
Great setup! I’m building similar, except plan an Ares rather than functional trainer. Surprised you don’t have the dip attachment.

A lat machine owner is a true believer. Bravo 👏
Love the echo bike
Sweet video mate. Awesome set up.
Get yourself a set of the MAGRIP handles, you'll love them for your pulldown.
They look amazing 🤩

Can you do bicep curls with this?
I wonder how could I move .y lat pull down to the other side of garage? I really don't wanna take it apart but maybe Iam gonna have too😳
Is this comes with wooden crates like titan fitness
Is this aluminum pulleys or plastic
Anyone having trouble getting enough thread on the pulleys?
I want to upgrade to this from my Ironmaster lat tower+ seat. Problem is, I'd be losing the ability to do standing cable curls. I can also hook my preacher pad up to my lat tower and do preacher cable curls.
No standing cable curls because the seat is in the way?

titan lat pulldown is now $2,000. The fray fitness latpull down black Friday sale starts at $1200. Great deal imo. nice video.
Yeah I'm seriously considering this today
Unfortunately shipping is a bit of a killer. The calculator had me at $440...I'm still considering it, though

Can you tell us if the foot pedal for low row is fixed or can it come out like the titan and bells of steel?
Why did you choose this between the Fray over the Titan?

I was looking at that one… I am 6’ 4” Is it tall enough to have full range of motion while doing lat pull downs??

What did you use so the guide rods didn’t go through the hole on the bottom and to the ground?
Did you figure that out I have the same question.

I wish I had spent the extra money on pin select instead of plate loaded. maybe when I win the lottery. wait I don't play the lottery lol.
How long did it take to come in? This Lat pull-down is always on back order.
Thanks for the review! Have you tried any rack attachments on the post such as a matador dip station? Curious about its versatility.
What are the pulleys made of? Aluminum, plastic?
