A digital home for Mikis Theodorakis
On 29 July 2024, one year before what would have been Mikis Theodorakis' 100th birthday, Schott Music, in cooperation with Aviator Management and curator Asteris Kutulas, is launching an initiative to give this inspiring composer and humanist a digital home: a global platform - with his music, his thoughts, his humour and his contentious, democratic spirit.
Starting on 2 September 2024, exactly three years after the Greek composer's death, the new Mikis Theodorakis RUclips Artist Channel will feature an ever-growing collection of footage about his musical work, his life, his artistic vision, and his critical observations.
The launch of the channel marks the beginning of MIKIS 100 - the project for Mikis Theodorakis' 100th birthday in July 2025.
