It will be worth it whens its done. This era of Mercedes was the best and easier to work on in my opinion and the M113 and M113k motors are so reliable. I love my CLK55.

I had almost 300,000 miles original engine and trans before i sold mines . These are great cars m113 is a reliable engine.

The sensor on the hood grill measures the position of the sun, it adjusts the climate control according to the suns direction shining into the car and blows cold air to those hot spots. If it isn´t connected, then it assumes that at every window (front and back included) has 30% sunlight, in order to have a normal working AC. Often times people retrofit the climate control unit with the display, allthough the car doesn´t have the optional 2 zone climate control. The problem with that is, that the climate controls won´t function properly or even fail at some point. Don´t forget to lube the sliding part of the sunroof or else the motor might burnout because of the dried up and sticky grease therefore causing MASSIVE friction. The seat rail may be greased if the motor for moving the seat forwards or backwords has to work exceptionally hard. Nice clk btw!
