These fucking refs are awful these days. Y'know, back then there was a difference between "letter of the rule" and "spirit of the rule," and refs understood this. That is, the rules are designed to reflect a purpose, and that purpose is to keep the game fair. Clearly... and I mean CLEARLY... this was a petty call. You watch that and you think, "Seriously?" Another example is the passing game with all the petty pass interference and defensive holding calls. The point of those rules is to prevent guys from cheating with trips and grabs when they get beaten athletically. Sometimes however, there's some contact as a result of the defender playing it TOO well, meaning he gets there a split second early or what have you, and they flag him - when the receiver had no business catching it. So instead of the rule being about preventing trips and grabs after getting burned, it's about making the defender give him the chance to make a catch that shouldn't be made - hence why the defender is all over him. It's become basketball rules.

The NFL is rigged and scripted which is why we shouldn’t even bother watching it. It’s still listed as entertainment, not sports as the official title. Exactly like it was since it’s inception. It literally was and has always been used as a betting event. Because it’s listed as ENTERTAINMENT, they can fix outcomes of games without prosecution. There’s videos everywhere of former bookie’s for Vegas talking about how the games are soft fixed, so as to make it not too obvious, but that Bengals/Chiefs game was the most blatant fixing of a game I’ve ever seen.
