Thanks for a wonderful review! I've read a few alice feeney books. I gave 2 of them about 3 stars and one DNF. I'll have to keep this one on my radar 👀

I don't tend to read a lot of unlikeable female characters in romance either so that is surprising D: I'm glad the eyes are the best part surprised you in a positive way. I have that waiting for me on my shelf and so I am glad to hear its a good one :) I do like the horror genre as well. I have seen so many people reading the amazon original series of christmas books. I dnfed a christmas tessa bailey book in december because I didn't like the language that was used either and it made me quite uncomfortable on the writing level. So I think that's me and tessa bailey done for now... Oh that's a different take on the christmas tree farm than I have heard so far. Sorry you didn't like it. The most wonderful crime of the year sounds fun and i added it to my tbr list for me to take note of next december! You read so much!!

I hope reading through your physical tbr goes well! That is one of my focuses for this year as well. And 52 is a good goal while working on your studies alongside everything too. I love that watching booktubers and being part of the community is one of your goals <3 I try my best to watch as many booktubers as I can as well to support people as well. We have a similar unhaul stratgey!! I want to keep that up as well.

It was really fun to hear about your favourite books! And I love that a christmas read could make it onto the list in your first year of reading them. I think of these the one I am most likely to pick up would be morbidly yours. I have been enjoying fun romance reads at the start of the year :)

I 100% feel you on the insta lust there's nothing wrong with the trope but I love feeling the butterflies before a couple gets together thats the fun cute part.

I love the element of randomness for tbrs!

What was your favorite read from December?

I just finished this on New Years Day and it was soooooo fun like oh my god. I love Blackwell and Ophelia’s relationship a lot. All & all, I gave it 4 stars too. This book solidified Romance Fantasy as my fav genre. [SPOILERS BELOW READ AT YOUR OWN RISK] When Vivi popped up at the end and HOW she popped up was absolutely hilarious. I didn’t care for her UNTIL that part so yeah. 😂 I read this on my couch and started out with natural light and I didn’t realize that the sun had set and the only light I had was from my Christmas tree which is RED, so I accidentally scared myself reading the demonic voice in Ophelia‘s head call her embarrassing after she and Blackwell were together. 😭😭😭😂😂😂😂😂

For Challenges next year, I’m doing both Buzzword challenges and Storygraph Onboarding. For readathons, I plan to do a few if they’re hosted again (Backlist Readathon, Escape the Readathon, Summerween, and Breath of the Wildathon). My reading goals are pretty much the same as previous years: complete 24 buddy reads, unhaul 30+ books, read 100 books, write 50 book reviews, increase Netgalley percentage by 25%, read 50 of my physical unread tbr My January TBR has 9 books on it currently. I finished 1 and started 2 others already but both might be DNFed. I haven’t decided if I’ll add more books to the TBR to replace those. But 3 books ahead, I’m off to a great start for the new year!
