That looks like a black rat snake! They will keep the rodents away but they will also eat chicks and eggs!

I think it's awesome. I'm function over form, if it works it works. It's always a learning experience and this build is going to help you on your next build. I'm just using a frost cover over my frame for my mizuna, bok choy, and arugula. If they freeze and die it's just the end of the season outdoors for me. I have enough growing inside to keep me busy until spring :P I'm in South Jersey. Also, Temu has frost covers and insect netting pretty cheap. Happy Holidays!

I planted my garlic with an all purpose slow release fertilizer and gave it some bone meal for root growth. Will give it some blood meal early spring. Good luck!
