Just got my results back and I failed. I wish they told me what my score was so I could know what to improve on but I’m almost sure it was the math portion. Gonna keep trying and retest

yea i did the same thing as you just this past month and got ranked 226th. I thought i had a fine interview. they just want peoples money and time before they actually consider hiring anyone

You basically have to know somebody VERY hard to get in , they dont tell you that neither do all these trades videos. Its good if you can get it but most dont

Gotta be honest. Im kind of discouraged to apply now. I was thinking about signing up to be tutored on the math so i could ace it but im not great at interviews and dont have and trades experience. Hmm

Your results are not as much a reflection upon you, but much more rather a reflection of the system. If you really want to be an electrician, you can simply take adult education classes at a vocational high school, and simultaneously get a job with an electrical company (non-union)... The initial pay will be low for no experience, but you will start accruing apprenticeship hours for your license immediately.... IF you are already working an unrelated job where you get much more money, you may be able to continue that higher-paying job, and work part-time for the electrical apprentice job.... (this of course depends on the hours and schedules of each job).

Never understood when tests don’t allow calculators or phones. It’s completely unrealistic. We always will have a calculator or phone with us in the real world. It’s honestly stupid imo.

Well ive been studying for the asvab because i also wanna do airforce reserves or activeduty im assuming its similar since both tests you cannot use a caculator

So with the 6 months wait after failure, does that stop you from applying to other trade unions?

It just doesnt make sense how they said you qualify for the interview just to tell you that your rank was to low? You shouldnt qualify for interview if your rank is to low so its like theyre wasting people time . Did you tell then youre a coach potato or some?

im a slow reader so im happy they give you time im better at math but im also worried about that cus i havnt done it in a while plus i just now found out there was more then what ive been studying on there
