Harley Davidson Sport glide on the Bridle Track

Taking the Harley off road isn't as fun as taking an adventure bike..but I don't have one. I reckon I averaged about 10km/hr but the Harley stayed upright. It's true.. the Harley Davidson Sport Glide can do anything!

Road Glide is the way to go You can’t go wrong. Indian is a good bike, but if you are looking for parts, is easier to find for Harley anywhere in Australia. I enjoy your videos. I’m going to Perth this year in my Road Glide. Should be fun 😊
Thanks mate. I’m going to check out a couple of RGs this week. Enjoy your ride!
The rain, o we know it well.. did 2 laps of Australia on the Indian.. and the last I we got smashed with thunderstorms, pouring hard rain on 40 % of the ride. Stay safe and enjoy the ride.
Yeah it can make or break the ride.
Road King, I have one and it is like riding a couch and you can still remove the fairing in really hot weather. I like that bike. It’s a good tourer.
Yeah I’ve thought about the road king too. Maybe I’ll take another look at it. Thanks
Really enjoyed the video, what straps are you using to tie your gear down? Cheers keep the videos coming
Thanks @dags6439. I’m using ROK straps. They’re the best thing I’ve found on the market. A little bit pricey but well worth it. I also have a small net to cover things which I got from the local motorcycle dealer.
I was looking at the road glide as well, BUT end getting a Indian pursuit, The electric windshield won me over 🏍️
Yeah that looks like an amazing bike. Did you ride Harley before?
I have a 2007 Softail deluxe and a 2019 fatbob as well but for long trips the Indian pursuit is the bike I prefer to be on
try out a K1600... you'll soon forget about a bone rattler
Bahahahah I’ll keep it in mind! Cheers
Nice work!
Cheers mate!
@@wornoutdad Camera work and VO is working nicely. You are definitely getting some sun 🙂
New subscriber here - love it - keep going - need to sort out that audio but very engaging. I’m glad that nutter on the side of the road was too pissed or stoned to do any thing other than stand and you got out of there quick smart. Rubber side down.
Incredible ride jamie ❤
Problem with wind farms is you have to dig holes in the ground to get the copper etc to make the wind turbines and destroy the land to build them .kind of self defeating .just a scam imo
Mate, good on you for trying to help the dude on the side of the road. Its really telling the first thing he asked was if you smoke pot. The only real mental health issue he has comes in crystal form. Im also trying to understand how you rode so far with an open face helmet! My visor usually looks like a bloody graveyard!
I’m not sure. I did feel a lot of bugs hitting my face. Maybe I ate some too! Heaps of bugs in the Memphis shades slim tho
Yeah ,crystallised THC on the brain ..they call it dope for a reason🤪
Was a bit confused at first, Coogee to Cottesloe isnt that far, then I realised you must have a Coogee over on the east coast lol
Ha ha yeah , 30 minute bike ride lol 😆
Epic, brilliant journey and awesome ride !
Thanks mate
We’ll done mate, great effort. Hopefully some adventures on the way back 👍🏻
Do you have a windscreen on your mic? Love the videos, don't love when it's hard to hear you or the wind is louder than your voice.. A like & subscribe for ya either way!
Good work mate. Set a goal, achieve it. Satisfaction.
Like your videos but sadly sometimes the voice audio is a bit L ow.
Nice video 👍. Just bought a sport glide and am thinking of ape hangers. Are they 12"? Have they made a big difference in comfort?
Hi. Yes these are 12”. It’s a different bike with the apes. I tried the 4” pull back risers but it still didn’t feel right. Much better now.
That bloke at the servo, classic out bush Aussie. Ta for the video, genuine stuff there.
I think at some point nearly all of us have made the mistake of using the front brake at low speed and a rough surface. Bugger about the drone, but still a good vid.
Thanks
one less drone, one less thing to worry about. Roll on brother
True mate. Thanks
Matey, drone footage is overrated anyway. Watching someone go through the journey is far more visceral an experience anyways.
I think you’re right!
How many times did you have to rebuild it on the side of the road.
Hahahah!
Surprised the hardly ableson made it 😂
I did the trip from Perth to Melbourne in 3 and a half days.
Well done. Great vid and looking forward to following your adventure. Good job stopping to check on that fella. Never know what your going to get on the road (literally) . Safe riding.
Yeah that’s right. I noticed everyone else driving by. I have no idea how long he was there for!
We (my wife and I) are just starting to get into touring on our bikes. We live is West Aust, and have looked at a number of touring youtube videos, then we came across this one. At first we were perplexed. Coogee to Cottesloe! That is only 16kms, 17 if you get lost! Then we watched it. We thought the east coast only had three beaches. Gold Coast, Byron Bay and Bondi. But no, there is a 4th, Coogee NSW. Thanks for sharing your stories. We need to do a trip a up the east coast!
Iron Butt Run 😎👍
HaHaHa can't bloody believe an hour after watching your video i run into you in Kalgoorlie. safe travels mate. Go home south bound from Perth if you have time. Albany, to Esperance
Macka! Good to meet you mate. Love the bike too!
@@wornoutdad cheers mate yep i love her tooooo. lol
Great stuff . You need to sort your on bike audio/microphone though.
Yes you’re right. It’s hard to know and get the right set up. Trial and error I guess. Thanks for the advice
@@wornoutdad All good - love the content and just want you to get more people. With the open helmet, the easiest solution is probably using your footage which is great and then adding a VoiceOver. (Yeah it's more work but it will work.). Otherwise you need a close mic with a deadcat or similar.
Sportglides not a bad bike prefer a Roadking myself but hey its still two wheels . So young fella you make your own music
For these videos, No. I use Artlist to find music. It’s good but you have to pay a subscription for royalty free music.
New Subscriber hear Dad how vast is WA on a bike through the worst route you could of taken poor ol Broken Hill with that bloke on the side of the road all I can say is the surge of Meth and the impact on the comunity
That blokes got some demons
Good shit lad! 800kms in a day on a bike is no joke! What’s the bike?
It’s a Harley sport glide
I take it by your tats your are or were a salor?
This is awesome ! Subscribed to see more
Thanks mate!
Good on ya bro !!
Thanks mate, cheers!
I watched all ur vids ,and getting ready to go out on a ride too in Cairns area ! What makes ur camera turn around when u ride past it ?
Good to see you back as I always have a smile on my face watching your stuff. Bet you couldn’t believe the rain.
Thanks mate, you’re a legend. I thought I’d be too hot if anything. I just left Cocklebiddy. Bloody freezing at night!
G'day! Greeting from Denmark. keep the good work. I love the nature, amazing. if you one day came here to ride, let me know. we can have a ride together :)
Thanks buddy!
Great Vlogs!
Thanks mate
I love wet weather camping, you should have stayed! Trick is keep sleeping bag dry in a garbage bag and bring it out just before bed and have a few dry changes of clothes as sets in Zip lock bags. Subscribed as soon as I saw the bike lift. 😎👍 great stuff.
Thanks for the tips! I learn a little more each ride I go on. Headed to Perth in a few months. I’m sure there will be different challenges on that ride!
Fantastic it looks beautiful lovely ride
great, Good
Thanks mate 👍
Thanks
Keep safe always sir...48th subscribers here from Philippines...i wish to have 1 also from you lods sir
Thanks and Greetings from Australia!
IS THAT A 'GIRL GLIDE'?
If that’s what you call it? Yep. Sure is.
Just enjoy the video and don't be a 12 year old mate
How good is the ride up n over Mount Hotham! I was only there two weeks ago and scored perfect weather too.
@jazrad666 it’s so good. Can’t believe I’ve waited so long to do it!
I did that same road back in 2015 on my Goldwing GL1800. I've long since sold the bike coz I got too old for it but I can still remember that day's ride. I'm not kidding, that ride was better than sex.
😂 yes mate I hear You
Good video mate. Love the Sport Glide, looks like the year before mine.
Mines a 2020. I had to put apes on it to get comfortable though. It’s a great bike. I want a road glide for the touring, bigger bags etc. but I use the SG daily for the commute and it’s an excellent all rounder. Plus I can’t afford the $40-60k that Harley ask for the baggers!
Was admiring that hat myself😂
