People are confusing the difference between the great tribulation and the hour of testing. The great tribulation occurred when Rome sacked Jerusalem in A.D. 70. The hour of testing is the seventh bowl judgment which is what we are entering into now. Most of the book of revelation has already been proven to have been fulfilled through the historicist perspective. All that’s left is the one world government and the second coming.

THE GOLDEN RULE OF INTERPRETATION *When the plain sense of the scripture makes common sense, seek no other sense*; Therefore, take every word at its primary, ordinary, usual, literal meaning in the original languages unless the facts of the immediate context, studied in the light of related passages and axiomatic (self-evident) and fundamental truths, indicate clearly otherwise.

Paul tells us that his special dispensation (see Eph. 3) was a MYSTERY (secret) hidden in the Father until Acts 13:46, which was YEARS after Jesus gave this discourse. Why then would ANYONE expect to find information about an event that would not be revealed for years, in Jesus' end time discourse? Jesus could not have known about something that was a mystery until revealed years later.

Without a doubt, Paul expected his readers to understand this "last trump" that would delineate an event that know one would know the day nor the hour. It was WELL KNOWN back then that the feast of trumpets was such a feast. No one could be sure of the day nor the hour, for EYE WITNESSES had to see the tiny sliver of a NEW moon, and then report their seeing it to the High priest. What if it was a cloudy night and the moon was blocked. The start of the Feast would have to be postponed. Many websites tell us that the final trumpet sound that ENDS this Feast of Trumpets was called "the last trump." Therefore I suspect this is what Paul had in mind. However, we can be sure that Paul's 'last trump" will be the last trumpet sound of the church age or the dispensation of grace given to Paul.

The trumpet sounding is usually used to point to the end of the age..." As if God can have only ONE trumpet sound? In the book of Revelation we find SEVEN trumpets, unrelated to the "trump of God" or "the last trump" (*of the church age*) and the trumpet that will end *the Jewish age* which will end with the 70th Week. In short, there will be TWO "ages" that must end.

"secret event..." Paul never wrote that the rapture would be "secret." Many teachers use "secret" as a strawman argument. There will be a very loud trumpet blast, and a loud shout. It will not be a secret.

There is no indication that this special dispensational event will take place at the coming of our Lord to set up His earthly kingdom, but there are several scriptures that show us this coming FOR His church, will be over seven years before His coming to Armageddon as shown in Rev. 19 and Matthew 24. Paul shows us this coming FOR his church, will be just before the start of God's wrath. This timing is confirmed by John because God allowed John to SEE the just-raptured church in heaven just after the 6th seal opening which is in Revelation chapter 6. This teacher is trying to WARP TIME, making an event that will happen BEFORE a seven year period equate to an event that will happen AFTER the seven years. God is not going to warp time.

We don't (or shouldn't) form doctrine from a single passage when there are many passages on the same subject. We KNOW this is a dispensational event because it closes or ends the special dispensation given to Paul for the Gentile church of yesterday and today. Ephesians 3:2 *If ye have heard of THE DISPENSATION of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: 3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, 4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) 5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; 6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: Colossians 1:25 25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the DISPENSATION of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; 26 Even the MYSTERY which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: 27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:* We know this dispensation will end before Daniel's 70th week, for this special dispensation STOPPED the Jewish timeline, putting off the 70th Week of Daniel until this special dispensation closes. If the Jews had accepted the Risen Savior as their Messiah, the 70th week would have come shortly into the book of Acts. Here is where God turned to the Gentiles and gave to Paul a special dispensation just for the Gentiles. Acts 13:46 *Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.*

What we don't know is when this knowledge was lost. Thank God, the truth of scripture was restored in the 19th century. For the readers, note carefully that in 1 Thes. 4 & 5, Paul wrote of the rapture BEFORE he mentioned the Day of the Lord, showing us the proper order. Then note that in Revelation, wrath starts at the 6th seal, and the "tribulation" starts at the 7th seal and with the first judgment of wrath, which is the first trumpet. Does 6 come before 7 in counting? Will the 6th seal be opened before the 7th? Certainly to both questions. That is how sure we can be that the rapture will be pre-trib.
