Rather newer player (overall rep 12) I was thinking of picking up some mixup intensive hero. Thinking between Cent or Pirate, any tips which one should I choose?

Pirate was never busted they just nerfed a really strong hero like gryphon they was never op they was just really good

I like how some of these actual casuals are saying shit like, "If you think Medjay is weak you probably play Raider, Kyoshin, Shinobi, Pirates, etc" Listen, that's the expectation for comp play and reliable offense. Characters whose offense actually works and forces reactions. For us that can play at a higher level, we've found problems in Medjay's offense that hinder him compared to other characters. All his chain attacks in Axe form can be dodge option selected, which means his chain offense doesn't work and forces a boring feint to parry game throughout the match. With this in mind, you're going to have a very difficult time getting to his only UB pressure, which comes from his Axe form finisher heavies. His hitboxes and range in Axe form are really bad. His flow between stances isn't there. His Staff form bash is a dead move for duels unless you make a read and call a feint to GB bluff from the opponent. He has very few attack properties in Axe form, making it fairly bad for a lot of situations. The new "balanced" term just means "not OP" nowadays. He's got fundamental/mechanical flaws that put him in B tier. He's not that great, which means he's not as balanced as you think he is if you're talking about actual viability.
