BEAUTIFUL 👏👏!!
that’s so pretty!!
hiii i found your account like a month ago and i love love love your vibe and your warmth, youre so sweet and i honestly wish you all the best. ive only been knitting since last december (like 8 months) and im jumping out of my comfort zone into making a raglan top down jumper! its my first time and im nervous (hate M1L with a passion) but your friendliness is accompanying me while i knit, so please please keep uploading (ive watched all your vids, love your content so much). i love the sit down and talk videos about your plans bc they inspire me for my next projects, especially that im leaning more into more practical garments that i will actually wear. i also love your knitting vlog videos so i would personally love to see the red(?) boatneck tank top you want to do, even if its just going along with the pattern. if youd want to make it more interesting tho, you could combine it with a Q&A/yap if you are able to multitask as you knit. if not, then just a shorter video of like day-in-the-life vlog with some fibre arts threaded through (no pun intended) would also be lovely. also you have such a sweet and soothing voice i love listening to you talk. all in all, i love your content so much and please contnue it as long as you enjoy it yourself <33
thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a sweet comment 🥺 good luck with your first jumper!!
So happy I came across this video! I do love my classic pieces that I can just throw on without any planning, but I've been looking for some more fun projects as well. I'm still kind of a newbie to knitting but will definitely be making that first crochet piece as soon as I figure out what color I want it to be in
Loved thiss !!! 💕
how do you get from the body to sleeves or make a shape or different pattern for the neckline/collar Like do you need to knit parts separately and then put them together? That was what I was always confused about and what stopped me from starting bc I used to knit some long random pieces like a shawl but couldn’t bring it further than that 😂 I wouldn’t know how to turn that into a sweater
I’m assuming you’ve never used a pattern or tutorial for your knitting? They have explanations for all this! I wouldn’t have been able to knit this without the pattern for sure 🫢 there are plenty of free knitting patterns for any sort of garment if you search on Google 💫
The top you have on, you made it ? Omggggosh is gorgeous 😍😍😍
no but I would love to try to make something similar! both tops are from vinted 💫
Beautiful cardigan! I want one too. Did you like Portugal? I’m Portuguese. I live in Coimbra. Hope you enjoyed your holidays. ❤️❤️ from Portugal 🇵🇹
Thank you!! Yes I had a great time, Portugal is one of my favourite countries 🥰🥰
@@natashacrawf so nice to hear that 😍😍😍
Le modèle est sublime et il te va à ravir. Je vais le tricoter aussi 🤩
Such cool patterns! Im definately a neutral millenial but when you spend a third of your day in an office(doing a job I love) it’s hard to keep doing crop tops and crop-out tops that I could never wear in my proffesional setting but I do love looking at them so I will keep watching. Im so happy that the crochet vs knitting and colorful vs neutral war has died down a bit. We are all crafters together, the one and the same and don’t have to keep comparing to each other. <3
omg i didnt even know there was beef between communities! that’s crazy, i agree with you 100% 🫶
@@natashacrawf Yeah I used to watch a colourful knitter that kept making vomitting sounds when mentioning neutrals and minimalism so I chose to stop watching that content. We don’t have to yuck others yum.
such a beautiful piece!
omg this is exactly what i’ve been looking for! i love your accent btw
ah thank you so much!! glad you found it useful 🫡🫡
Woooww Looks so pretty. Love your Videos❤
This is so cute~ I love it!
Well done! It looks beautiful ❤
Wow! It's hot! You are right about old crocheters, we can crochet but don't have the style you younger ladies have. But we are still young in hearts, please be kind. You all will be there one day 😊
I definitely don’t mean to discredit makers of any age! a lot of the creators i follow and love are older than me, what i meant to say is that i notice a trend of those older than me making and creating patterns for more timeless classic items and those younger than me tend to be more experimental - and both are stylish imo but just in different ways ☺️
As a new knitter, i also noticed that the knitting community is dominated by older women who have (in my opinion) boring styles, while the crochet community has all the cute tops and sweaters and accessories. This video is exactly what I was looking for!
I’m glad it helped you! I have to say personally I love the knitting community especially for winter clothes like sweaters, but I agree it can be hard to find patterns for cute lil tops ✨
It looks like the color work you did on your Lana top would be called stranded color work. So cool and impressive that you figured it out on your own!Intarsia is a different method where you lock the different colored strand on the back of the work and you don’t end up with those floats on the back. You should try it out, it’s fun! :)
ah thank you so much for the info!! i will have to go look up how to do intarsia for real 🫶
You are so stunningly beautiful!!
thank you so much that’s so kind of you 🥺💗
That Lana Del Ray top is gorgeous! I've been knitting(again - I learned it years and years ago but didn't really get into it) ever since COVID hit, so about 4/5 years and I haven't tried out too many colour work knitting projects just yet. You're very talented and I love listening to your yapping about knitting ;) Keep it up!
love this! i crochet and i have plenty of unfinished blankets but i would love to wear and make cute little baddie clothes
Loved this podcast! I hope you continue doing more podcast episodes and project videos, they are the perfect company for my knitting :)
I am loving this channel !! I am from Scotland as well so I love seeing people knitting for our shall we say ,lovely , climate in a style similar to mine ! I love Lana del Rey too and love love love that top !
thank you so much ☺️💗🏴
ahh totally obsessed with your Lana top !! I never knew I needed this in my life but I think I absolutely need to make a version too 😍
you are so lovely and talented natasha! it's so nice listening to you ramble about what projects you're working on and thinking about while i work on my own <3 can't wait to see your next video xx
Your channel was a happy find! I'm also currently knitting on the blouse no. 1 (the light version). 🐑
For those wondering the crochet segment starts at 8:57 timestamp
I think if you added some crochet chains and straps across the back of the Lana Del Rey top, it might solve the issue of not liking how to back looks on you. I love the project how it is though!!
I'm not sure if anyone has told you never put your knits on hangers, honey. Great job. I'm a newbe as well. Started in January. I purchased a bunch of projects from we are knits. Way to many projects
don’t worry i don’t store them on hangers, it was just for the video x
My goodness. You’re quite talented. Everything you create is amazing.
Oh I’ve got self-striping yarn and want to make blouse no1 yours is looking great! Love your videos!
Also thanks on the tip using the drops brushed alpaca instead of mohair but the get a similar look; my woo warehouse package is arriving tomorrow with some brushed alpaca
I literally gasped when you said sunset sweater because that's what I'm knitting up right now now! The pattern I'm using is the Sjobris Sweater and its such a fast knit :) Anyways love the vid and yes please keep us updated on the red tank top
Omg I just opened yt, hoping you would have uploaded 😆
oh cute!! you manifested it hehe 🫶
I also love Lana 🩷🌸 and im so excited for your next video !!!
thank you so much 🥺✨
Keep going , I love love love the content 🎀💗✨
ahh thank you i will do!!💗
Excited for more content while we knit together <3 you go girly!
thank you so much 🥺💫
I have been enjoying your videos and can’t believe you only started knitting and crocheting this year! You have made many beautiful projects. I would love a video of you making the mixed Rib Cami❣️
oh that’s so kind thank you!🤗
i'm a newbie knitter (i'm a long time crocheter) and you inspired me to make one for myself!! this is my first time following a knitting pattern and have learned so many new techniques but i'm so proud of myself for getting through it. i keep going back to watch this when i get frustrated with my knitting and it really helps me watching your process :) i'm so happy you showed up on my feed, i can't wait to see what other projects you have in store!
omg reading this made my day thank you so much for your kind words! proud of you for persevering, well done 💗💗
So cuteee! Just ordered the yarn! Which size knitting needle did you use?
oh that’s exciting i hope you love it! i used 5mm, 4mm and 3mm
Love this collection! I want to start making more clothes, but a lot of the patterns I find are for backless crop tops and while I think they look SO cute, it's not something I'm looking to wear myself so it was nice seeing a good variety of kinds of tops that are still stylish. I agree that in general, knitted tops look better than crocheted tops, though both can be gorgeous. As of right now, I'm only a crocheter, but I might have to expand to knitting too if I want to make some these tops!!
I love the colour of your cardi, it's so beautiful! I'll be flying to Portugal from Bristol in a few weeks and I really want to bring my knitting along but I'm not sure of the needle rules. How did you find getting your knitting through security? :)
thank you! I had absolutely no issues, i thought maybe i was pushing it with the tapestry needle but nothing even got beeped on any of my 4 times through security. one of my friends flies with knitting all the time and has never had a problem!
ah love that yarn and your cardigan looks so good 😍 Just knitting a soft lemon yellow card of my own while watching and you're right it's such a vibe knitting to YT ❤
Girl look up what Lydia made!!! Her work is delightful and soooo well designed fit wise, highly customizable, and Lydia is Glasgow based 🦭. She also just released a super nice “going out” type of top that has an optional keyhole in the front, it was released around the same time as the mixed rib cami to. I’m making mine with the keyhole in both the front and the back ♥️👀.
This is my second time leaving this comment ??? I’m not shure why I can’t see my first one anymore. But if anyone else is seeing double … that’s why.
thanks so much for the recommendation, I’ve just looked her up and can’t believe I didn’t already follow her!
I’m a crochet girly looking to get into knitting! I’ve got some wood & metal needles but I have no idea where to start. Any tips?
I started out with the beginner knitting kits from wool and the gang and we are knitters! they’re a bit expensive but the yarn is great and they give you all the materials and instructions you need - if you don’t wanna do that you could do any basic beginner pattern (like a scarf) with a bit of perseverance really. I think already knowing crochet will help you learn v quickly!
@@natashacrawf thank you for the advice! I’ll have a look and see where it takes me 😊
hey just a warning about the bamboo yarn from sostrene grene! it’s really nice and soft but when i used it the yarn was constantly breaking!! it was my first project tho so maybe my tension was too tight
thank you that’s so good to know! I will probs avoid it then lol
Honestly i've been looking for this kind of content for a while, when i saw you were a younger creator i immediately subscribed 💕
If you like to sew, do you follow this is Kachi? She’s in Germany and makes some amazing designs I think you would love!
thank you for the rec! i don’t really sew yet but it’s something I want to try 💫
this is not a hot take!! just look at knitting youtube and people that make one neutral sweater after another neutral tee, and the styles of clothes the biggest designers make (petiteknit, my favourite things, etc), i NEED *younger* knitting content and aesthetics in my algorithm!!
yes glad it resonated! I think what I was trying to get at was that a lot of knitting patterns are very classic and timeless which is great, but i love seeing more experimental patterns too 🫶
Same, I've just subscribed here for the same reason :)
this is the kind of content i've been DYING for!! i totally agree. while i do love the occasional crochet i think knit clothes look soooo much cleaner and more of the vibe i'm going for
so glad you liked!! i think i am the same as you, although i am biased because i think i prefer the process of knitting a liiiittle bit more than crochet 🤫
@@natashacrawf for clothes i totally agree, i think it just sits on the body better
These patterns are so pretty!! I’d love to see you make one of them and if you do, show the progress like you did with cardigan/crochet top!
yesss that’s a great idea!
