It's not dying. The problem is that its growing way too fast with new editors popping out everyday. It makes it really difficult for people (like me) who have been editing for 6 + years to breakthrough because of how many people are editing. Capcut and apps like alight motion made it possible for everyone to edit, that is why the industry has so many people right now. Back then after effects and software's like sony vegas was the only place you could really make a good edit so the industry was really saturated making it easier for editors to breakthrough. Right now everyone and their moms is making an edit of something making it hard to actually find those "good quality" editors. So the AMV community isnt dying, there's just too many people making edits right now

Xenoz one of the biggest reasons with vispr why i still am editing. I love it and the community. I love showing my creativity and seeing others edits as well. Its been a great 5 years now and im planning on continueing this path still

You didnt prove he is the best editor

"the best editor is subjective" people who are more famous than other editors are not generally better than them. Although Xenoz made amv famous they're far better editors than him; eg Donya, IZXA, nicks-graphics. In short "the best editor" is differ by people not the editor itself.

dude u dont know half of the story...amve is the real father of the editing community he's the one who started the idea of these styles of editing or at least the one who made it famous everyone else was just doing 2mins+ amvs even xenoz used to copy amve's ideas in some edits but the real gods of editing who even got famous before xenoz are people like nick graphics amve is even pissed at xenoz for stealing his idea without giving him credits in the left behind open collab.. xenoz isn't the best editor neither nick neither amve or xsense or retuurn or zneptun or anyone else i had friends who weren't famous who had certain edits that better than some edits of the famous ones, everyone is special in their own way some people give the fans what they want and follow the trend and get famous some just makes edits for their fav anime some just quitted it depends on what u like man no one is the best in anything not only in the amv editing community so dont make assumptions like that that's just ur personal opinion

Xenoz and floby now only make story telling edit and xenoz put like put emotional in his story telling like example, some Where only we know nanami edit that and xenoz time remap is smoothes time remap in story telling and he Doesn't like spam effect like other editors now if he spam effect and composition there no different between xenoz and others xenoz build different he inspires most editor even gojo ib was xenoz shiju etc and people saying his edit mid easy now days blah blah bro never give that much efforts in edit not like he giving 100hour for one edit xenoz always will be goat no matter what

The main reason he's holding back is because that's what he's known for if he changes hell lose a large part of his core audience, and all the other styles take alot more time to do.
