I’m gonna be doing this play soon! I’ll be Eve/Evan and it’s gonna be great!!
This looks like a rehearsal
We did this play two days ago, I was Teddy, Rah, Buddy, and one of the back up singers in the worst breakup of all time
My school just did this play today
where can I get the script ?
so, i am trying my hardest not to be too judge-mental when i say this, and im sure most of the changes were made with the thoughts of the actors in mine, but at this point this whole play strays so far away from the original script it should have been its own script entirely. I was watching this because i am doing this play at my highschool, and i am playing several characters and wanted to see what blocking other people did in some scene's. but, literally the only scene where they actually didnt screw up on any lines (or cut out any lines) was the civil war one and the charades one (but there was even mistakes in that one too). Also, the first act is composed of scenes that arnt even in the original script at all!!!! Like, i know the playwright gave extra optional scenes to swap out with the 9 he originally gave, but NONE of the scenes in act one were scenes he gave.
Thanks for your comment! We worked closely with Ian McWethy to allow for the ability to add the new scenes. He was on board with it all and we were excited to compose the song at the end of the show. He even helped to edit ad approve the new scenes. He especially enjoyed the Time Machine scene. All of these scenes and changes were made with iris permission. I’m sorry that you found some of the scenes problematic. These are young actors who are learning the craft and we worked hard on making it as smooth as possible, but sometimes there are mistakes in a show as you probably know as a young actor yourself. We make the best of what we are working on in class. I hope your show goes well.
